Description
Everything you will ever need to know about your ship and station displayed in real time on LCD panels in any vanilla games. modded games and servers! Now with cockpit panels support!

Thank all of you for making amazing creations with this script, using it and helping each other use it. It's been 10 years already since I uploaded first Configurable Automatic LCDs script and you are all still using it (in "a bit" upgraded form). Its just amazing :)

Every captain wants to have displays that show some useful info. Make your bridge display damaged blocks in engineering, engine room, etc. Make big screen by joining multiple Wide LCDs! Show power output, batteries status, laser antenna connections and much more. Make your docking bay display which landing gears are occupied. Make screens for docking fighers when landing gear is ready to dock so they can nicely see it from cockpit! Make one LCD per container to see its contents.. and much more!

HOW TO UPDATE?
This script is not a mod so it does not update by itself. You need to load new version of script to your programmable block to overwrite the old one. You do that in exactly the same way as when you first loaded the script into programmable block.
Open your programmable block, click Edit, click Browse Workshop, select Automatic LCDs 2, click OK, Check code, Remember & Exit. Done. Your script is now updated.

!! PLEASE READ THIS !!
I'm really happy that this script became so popular and that so many people like it, but many people means many questions and I rather enjoy other things than saying the same things all over again to people. So I wrote the guide where I've put everything about every command, tried to answer all questions that people had in comments and I keep it updated. I'm responding to many comments that are stated in the guide. Please read the guide.

If you've got questions, but you don't want to read the guide, then this script is probably not for you.

I understand that this script got quite a lot of features and it can be hard to crunch whole guide. Unfortunately I can't teach everyone how to use it via chat. It took me several hundreds of hours to put this all together so please take your time to read the guide and follow the troubleshooting section if something doesn't work.

If you have problem with some command then read the guide section for that command and make sure you use it correctly. Try to use it on separate LCD by itself so it's easier for you to see the issue and definitely try some examples!

You are the space engineers so go ahead and play with it and figure it out :)

Actually, now that I think about it, it would be really awesome if more of the commands would accept a display text override. Like Altitude for instance. It displays as "Ground". If you use AltitudeSea is shows as "Altitude". While both of those make sense, from a certain point of view, being able to add a custom text display would be a nice feature.

Two things for you.

I'd like to show some indicator of how close I am to max thrust, so I know if I am getting too heavy in my mining ship. So far, best I can do is create a group for my vertical thrusters "Thrusters (Up)", then use the PowerUsageV command to see the MW. I'd prefer to see the MN. Possible to create a ThrustUsage command?

I'd like to see the Working status for a group, in a single line. The guide says use a single block in that group as a filter. Problem is that I am unable to add a custom text tag to it, so it shows that single item and not the group name. Can you modify the Working command so it will accept a display text override?

As long as only one is turned on yes. If you turn on both of them they will "fight" and your LCDs will randomly change between different info being shown / different scrolling positions / etc.

Can you have a second PB serve as a 'backup' in case the main one is destroyed?

I don't think so, unless you dock the same ship at the same dock all the time, configure AutoLCD's with a very broad LCD tag, and have the LCD query blocks on a specific ship.
The best you will get is a specific ship's details on a specific LCD when docked anywhere on your station.

If you want to have a specific ship's details on a specific LCD continuously,
You might want to look at Telemetry Plus.

Hello.

Is there a way to display the tanks or containers of a ship at a specific dock? I have several docking platforms, and only the connected ship should be displayed on the corresponding LCDs.

Example:

Dock 1
LCD 1 - Information (only) from the ship at Dock 1

Dock 2
LCD 2 - Information (only) from the ship at Dock 2

Yeah figurred that the issue was how the ores were setup after two scripts broke on the exact same issue. Preciscely the problem that Ore is setup as Ore/Copper and Ingots are setup as Ingot/CopperIngots
