Description
This mod adds some RMB (here and everywhere in the description by RMB I mean your binded "Alternative fire" key, which is RMB by default) action for every weapon that didn't have one (all weapons have several modes, you can cycle them by using "Switch alternative fire modes" key, which can be binded in game settings (where all other key bindings are), not set to anything by default):

  • Single shotgun: hold RMB to load up to 5 additional shells and then fire them rapidly OR press RMB to shoot one fast accurate projectile instead of pellets; this projectile deals the same damage as all pellets combined at close range, at larger distances damage slowly drops down to less than a half of max damage;
  • Double shotgun: press RMB to knock back nearby enemies, dealing small damage OR press RMB to shoot only one shell, dealing half damage but without reload;
  • Assault Rifle: you can switch between (default) automatic fire and burst fire modes;
  • Minigun: hold RMB to spin up your minigun without firing bullets; you can switch between normal mode and berserker mode, in which your rate of fire is doubled, but shooting in berserker mode quickly raises temperature of your minigun, and if you overheat it, you will not be able to use minigun for some time;
  • Rocket launcher: hold RMB to load up to 3 additional rockets and them fire them at once (this attack has a wide spread) OR press RMB to shoot rocket like a grenade, which moves faster then regular rocket but drops and bounces OR press RMB to shoot laser-guided rocket;
  • Laser: press RMB to unleash an energy ray which pierces everything and instantly deals medium-high damage to all enemies (except armored ones) in its path OR press RMB to launch a miniature black hole that will pull all enemies and projectiles in small range towards itself, destroying projectiles that got too close;
  • Cannon: press RMB to detonate all existing cannonballs OR use RMB like you use LMB, to charge and shoot nuke cannonball, which doesn't pierce, explodes on first touch and deals huge area damage in large area. It doesn't damage armored enemies (Khnums, Technopolips) and you can easily kill yourself if such cannonball explodes too close to you;

Also some changes to weapon parameters were made: no reloading for single shotgun and assault rifle, slightly increased cannonball explosion damage (it was pathetic).

Although the mod might be compatible with some weapon mods, I highly recommend that you disable all other weapon mods when using this one. Singleplayer only.

This mod is not perfectly stable, so you may rarely encounter some minor bugs, such as:

  • After you load new level or load saved game first save will take a long time (15-20s for me at the start of the level, up to 40s in the end of 1 hour level); the saves after that (and until you have to load again) are quick again;
  • If your fps is low (~20 or lower) many modes will not work properly. Lower your setting if your FPS is unstable;
  • You cannot use alt-fire on a weapon if you just started a level with this weapon until you switch weapons;
  • Double shotgun melee attack doesn't interact with spiders for some reason. It works in test levels, but just ignores them in the campaign;
  • You weapon doesn't switch after you pressed weapon switch key while firing, just press it again;
  • In some circumstances you can fire just one bullet while in Assault Rifle burst fire mode;
  • Maybe something else, which is usually cured by pressing/releasing mouse buttons;

the laser guidance and grenade ability on my rocket launcher wont work. how to fix this?

This mod is definitly awesome. Overpowered for normal games, but if you increase the difficulty or try some hard maps, this is just so much better than the normal gameplay! Thanks a lot for this gem!

Нажимать кнопку "Switch alternative fire modes", которую надо в меню, в настройках клавиатуры, предварительно назначить.

There's something wrong with the assault rifle, If you toggle it in burst mode then change any weapon then change back to assault rifle while holding the fire button, The assault rifle's fire rate will be the exact fire rate of the burst mode with no delay.
