Road to 56 is a frankenstein of mods that has been riveted together for your convenience and pleasure. Here are the lovely details:

New Focuses
  • Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Colombia, Congo, Croatia, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Estonia, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Free France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mongolia, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, Russia, Ruthenia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Siam, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tibet, Turkey, United Kingdom, USA, and Yugoslavia have all been overhauled with new events and shenanigans.

Expanded Tech Tree
  • Now your scientists will earn their pay and keep working until the end of the war.

Timeline Extension
  • The game runs to 1956. I mean, you were expecting that. Right?

Enhanced Non-Historical Outcomes
  • Road to 56 is all about alternate history and giving you lots of options to make a new world. If you want to run a purely historical game, this is not the mod for you.

  • New units, troop experience system, expanded difficulty modifiers, new releasable nations, more lovely laws, and a whole bunch of other things that will make you more popular at parties.

Serious note: Use other mods with '56 at your own risk. Support is not provided for issues related to conflicts.

  • Check the other mods you're using. There's a very high chance this is the cause.
  • Purge your cache
  • Restart your computer
  • Start a new save file

Hey I have a big issues with the new game and update.I love road to 56, but it wont let me use any flag mods with this mod or any other mod in that regard.I hate havins unhistorical flags.Do you know how I can fix this?I use historical flag mods and it used to work with road to 56 until the new update runined it(game updat enot mod update)

But I am unable to do any of that since the Regent of Yugoslavia immediately joins the allied faction (without even being guaranteed first mind you) and the moment a single shot was fired, the bastard flees and takes his government in exile, prohibiting me from the "Fate of Yugoslavia" focus for the rest of the game......Is anybody else experiencing this madhouse world during your play-throughs? I think this mod is in need of a solid checkup, especially in the code files. The elements of the mod that are clearly not running as they should are those assets pertaining to the focuses, ideologies, events, and quite possibly within the code of the AI, which perhaps is not effectively responding to the historical path algorithms. I've played this mod for years now, downloaded it right after I bought HOIIV and it all worked normally back then. But now it's as if certain portions have been heavily neglected and it's start to fall apart....

I mean I can't even get a decent campaign going without something causing it to turn into the twilight zone. Whether I turn historical on or off it still ends up getting utterly ridiculous. Don't get me wrong I enjoy ahistorical choices, but by my doing within an otherwise historical narrative. France goes communist almost within the first month of 1936, forcing me to use the console commands to restore the democratic government on multiple occasions. Yugoslavia is the absolute worst contender in these issues. Either turning communist or joining the Allies, making the "Fate of Yugoslavia" focus tree non-functional. One of my favorite parts of the War is the invasion of Yugoslavia and eventual creation of Fascist Croatia and a Serbian Reichskommissariat, then splitting the rest of the landto my Axis allies in the region.

yeah dude, historical isnt historical, no anschluss no czech demands not donzig or war. germany sits ideally and does not start ww2. France goes communist every damn time. i really like this mod but i cant play this way.
