Creating an HTML web wallpaper with GM:S
By ♠|Sansoeko|♣
This guide will show you how to set up a new web based wallpaper and how to export one from GameMaker: Studio.
GameMaker: Studio
To export as html5 in GameMaker: Studio you need HTML5 Module + Export[www.yoyogames.com]. This guide won't explain how to create games with GameMaker but just how to use them in Wallpaper Engine!

For game maker use the documentation [docs.yoyogames.com]or:

You could also use browser_height & browser_width in combinations with views for getting the best resolution.
Exporting your html5 from GameMaker
Click on Global Game Settings -> HTML5. Here you need to make sure that:
  • "Display "running outside server" aleret" is unchecked
  • "HTML5 outut name" is set to index.html
Also make sure that the target is html5 else it won't work as a Web wallpaper

Now goto File -> Create Application... or press Ctrl+Alt+C. Save the index.html somewhere where you can find it back in a empty folder!
Removing the scrollbar
Open your index.html

and change this code:
<!-- Set the background colour of the document --> <style> body { background: #000000; color:#cccccc; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; }

to this:
<!-- Set the background colour of the document --> <style> body { overflow: hidden; background: #000000; color:#cccccc; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; border: 0px; }
Note that i added overflow: hidden; in the body fragment, in the style fragment.
You probally finished your wallpaper by know!

Shameless self promotion!

I paid $25 for pro and $15 for a bundle of exports that happen to include HTML5, I did pay over $400 between Ubuntu export and YYC though when those first came out. Oh and $50 for Android.
