Possible 2 Player Implementation!
We're still here!
Humanity's last hope, a colony on a distant planet, is under siege!
Defend your colony by defeating the invaders in a hexapod in this retro style arcade game! Across three landscapes, each with unique challenges and enemies, battle wave after wave in endless mode or fight for mankind's survival in story mode.

What this game offers:
A single player story mode and endless mode
Easy to learn + fun to play
Challenging and unique gameplay
A variety of weapons to employ against alien invaders

Unlock over 20 achievements. Battle enemies and yourself as gravity works against you. Enemies don't appear in a fixed way or in any particular order, giving the player a new experience each game.

Where we are in the development:
We've produced this game and actually put it up for sale by ourselves, but we've learned a lot since then and would like to improve the graphics and the gameplay. We'd like to add more weapons and a local co-op. Maybe even a multiplayer over the network! We've shown the game off at a couple conferences and gotten some great feedback and would love the opportunity make those changes and put out a game that will entertain for hours. We need your support!

It's been a while since we've commented! Thanks again for the votes! This game has been completed and is ready to go, so if you'd like to try it out give us a shout! Thanks!

@barnaba Thanks for the feedback. We'll certainly be improving things. The reason the graphics seem to work (at least with the people we've tested with) is that a lot of the bullets are their own fault. You can shoot as much as you'd like, but bullets come back down. I'll see what I can do to improve the description of the game and such.

@HellCow I might send out a copy to you. We've got quite the test base here. In fact, we had the game up for sale in a few locations and decided we'd revamp it, give it to those that already supported us, and see if we can get it up on Steam. Anyways, our next round of testing will be after we've implemented our improved collision management stuff. (It should boost our performance in the game quite a bit and make it easier to add more varied enemies and the like.)

The twist you describe in the comments should perhaps be in the description or even in the trailer, cause they seem to be the most interesting part of the game.

For something that's both kind of complex and a bullet hell those graphics simply won't do - there's too much meaningless clutter, explosions, particle effects and such. They might make the trailers look sort of impressive, but I doubt they'd make a pleasurable experience for the player.

Can't vote yes with a clear conscience, but I'll be following the game in hopes that you'll improve graphics and the audio.

@skull_trumpet.gif Thanks for the comment! I wouldn't necessarily call it a reskin. Physics play quite a role in the game as does a variety of munitions. When we showed this off at Openwest, most people actually died from themselves rather than enemies (due to the physics affecting their own munitions) or by not protecting the engineers to repair them when they took damage. We're wanting to add quite a few more twists to the game, especially when it comes to multiplayer capabilities.

Fancy Space Invaders is still Space Invaders. I do applaud you for putting in more work than some devs that put out Space Invaders reskins.

Thanks for commenting! The graphics are definitely one aspect of the game that we'd really like to hammer out on this game, but the mechanics are pretty solid! We appreciate the feedback!

Could I picture this trailer on television? ...Not with that font, sorry - also, 50 seconds is a bit unusual. There's potential here, to be sure, but it needs a lot of editing. I'm sorry to say in its present state this game looks unprofessional. I'd be happy to play it on newgrounds or armorgames, but as it's presented here, it's not something I'd be willing to pay for.
