Greenlit!
Harshly Critical
Description
Release date: Spring 2017
HUMAN SUBJECTS is an indie game composed short horror games which are created in the style of found footage films discovered on the deep web. Taking the role of a man in his apartment, you watch disturbing, sickening, and horrifying videos. However, it will soon become apparent there is something even more sinister behind the footage than meets the eye.

Each game tells a short story through the first person perspective of the protagonist's head-mounted camera.
The first installment of the game is a continuation of the HUMAN demo from Gamejolt, a story which ties into the overall narrative of HUMAN SUBJECTS. Outer Orbit, in conjunction with Spektraul Studios, is now working on the next several short games.

Watch the story unfold, as each "video" gives clues to the underlying plot that ties the stories together.

Features
  • Dig your way into the deep web and experience terrifying short stories.
  • Highly atmospheric, with sound designed to give you the most realistic audible sensory experience possible.
  • Robust AI to keep you on your toes.

I found the demo on GameJolt just now. I'm amazed that the demo was done by one man. This was amazing.

I am so incredibly excited for this game. Human is perhaps my favorite psychological thriller/horror ever; I was one of the first people to comment and play it. It was so incredibly detailed and well made. The production value was beyond most of the indie games I'd ever seen.
I just now discovered this sequel, and I'm already hooked. I am so incredibly hyped. As for any hopes I have for this game, I agree with one of the comments I saw:I really hope that the ending of Human plays an important role in this game. So far it seems like that's the case, which is exciting. The ending creatively took a cliche and made it unique, so I'm extremely excited to see this play out.
@hkfiftyone You've become my favorite indie game developer. Your games are so creative and well thought through- it's just incredible to see what you can do. I'm incredibly impressed and I can't wait to see more. Upvoted.
