Skips for speed runs
By barnaba
This guide describes the currently known skips that might help you with speedrunning or getting the speedrunning achievements.
Ironworks Facility
stage 1

If you make it to (1) fast enough (with saw boosts or shotgun boosts and bunny hopping) you can skip both buttons (2) and (3), completing the level under 13 seconds.

stage 4

After pressing the button (1) go through the wall. Saves you fighting 2 jetpack guys, one button press and going down at elevator speed.

If you have enough health, you can go under the second elevator, drop into lava and swim to your right, until you reach the exit of the lava room. It's possible to get on a platform and save even more time, although I weren't able to do this. You need to trigger the last platform over the lava to fall, in order for the gate to open.

Volcano research station
Stage 1

Just granade jump out of the arena instead of fighting it.

Stage 4

Plenty of granade jumps possible here.
Last City
stage 1

In order to skip the second building granade jump (with a help of a shotty boost) up, go through a hole in the wall and then granade jup right to the top.

To skip the arena with ninjas (or swordguys), granade jump after the police car. It takes two granade jumps to take you to the top of the level. You can hug the wall while attacking it with a saw to avoid fall damage (pictured as green arrow).

stage 2

After pressing the button (1) go up and straight to the exit before the wall cuts you off.

stage 4

Kill the worker with your railgun as pictured by the red arrow, so he can't open the roof doors. You don't have to fight the police cars.

Granade jump straight to the final arena skipping a buch of elevators and enemies.

Well, in retrospect it seems obvious, but I actually just didn't know they translated those usually FPS exclusive features into a sidescroller, which kinda blew me away. I watched a speedrun and know how to do some of these things now. Negating fall damage with the saw is still tricky for me, but works. I was able to skip the first level of The Last City thanks to your guide and watching how to skip it. Thanks!

@Donward Concept, no there's no guide. Most of the stuff is pretty intuitive, to bunny hop just press jump at the correct moment. To shotgun boost just shoot the shotgun in the opositte direction. You can also saw boost of the enemies (the more enemies the better your boost), granade jump and have weird interactions with walls using the saw (which allow you to skip some of the fall damage). You pretty much learn all of this stuff by just playing the game.

This game has bunnyhopping and shotgun boosts? What? Is there a guide on that? :D

I'm not aware of anything major there. Something might get discovered in a future if a scene ever happens.

Keep in mind that this guide is mostly about sequence breaks, which, while shiny, might not be as valuable as good routing (with lots of saw boosts and bunny-hops). There's certainly good opportunities for that in the jungle.

@violent Eruption: I've actually made a skulls guide, but it's in a form of video, cause I think that's more useful, you can find it here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=776724300 (or on the video section of the community hub).

As to hardest or impossible there isn't much to say. Just kill people before they kill you and never get hit.
