Introduction
Weapons are the single most important aspect to the game, and all are good to use, but when it comes to the harder difficulties, your mind has to kick in and use the best weapons for the best moments. This guide is here to help anybody who wants some tips on which weapons to use and when.
The Guns
The MP5K - The All Rounder
The MP5K is probably my most used weapon. It's good at most things, including average damage, fast rate of fire, pretty good accuracy, and nice distance (which are all taken into account in this guide).
It falls short in clusters though. If you're being swarmed by a group of 5 enemies, the MP5K isn't going to be doing much for you on the harder difficulties, especially if they're SWAT or Army.

The Shotgun - The Weakener/The Finisher
The Shotgun is probably my second most used weapon. It's high damage and accuracy are great at taking down enemies from most ranges, despite being a shotgun.
It has an average rate of fire, and is best used at the beginning of a fight with enemies so you can take out at least half their health, then switching to the MP5K to finish them off. It can also be used on an enemy who has been already damaged to quickly finish them off.

The Auto Shotty - The Bullet Grinder
I don't use the Auto Shotty that much if I'm being honest. It's a badass weapon, but not very good in most scenarios. It has the highest rate of ballistic fire in the game, but very low damage, and distance. It sucks down bullets faster than a black hole, and doesn't pack much punch per round.
The best use for this gun is to fire into a cluster of enemies, as the gun can quickly shred through a group of enemies that may have taken out half your health if you'd attempted to use the MP5K or the Shotgun, but other than that, using its ammo seems like a waste.

The Rocket Launcher - Long Distanced Fire
The Rocket Launcher is another one that I don't find a use for that much. It's a one hit kill weapon with theoretical infinite range, but it shoots abysmally slow. It can shoot either homing rockets or normal rockets, but trust me, stick with the normal rockets if you're playing the rocket launcher as a long distance, because you don't want your rocket to suddenly swerve left of your intended target.
My uses for this weapon is killing enemies that are out of range of my MP5K that I don't want to be in range of, or for quickly killing turrets.

The Napalm Launcher - Badass in Concept, not so much in practice
The Napalm Launcher is one that goes unused by me. You shoot it and it sprays down fire that kills all enemies that touches it, but once you shoot it, it takes a second to actually start spraying down fire, meaning you have to quickly line your shot up in a game where you don't HAVE the time. It especially goes outclassed by the next weapon.
EDIT - One of the most important bits I forgot to mention previously was the fact that the projectile that is launched by The Napalm Launcher will bounce if it hits something. If you hit something while it's spraying down fire and it bounces at you, then you're probably going to be on fire if you're close enough.

The Flamethrower - Third Degree Crowd Control
I love the Flamethrower, but I don't use it enough. The Flamethrower is much like The Napalm Launcher, but quicker to use, but at the cost of less range. Again, any enemy that touches the fire dies, and any enemy that touches the burning enemy also catches on fire, and so on. It is the fastest firing weapon, throwing out a constant stream of fire, and is also a flamethrower, so accuracy isn't really a concern.
Best used in scenarios like The Auto Shotty, but can also be used in place of the Shotgun or MP5K to take out single enemies.
EDIT - A bit I forgot to mention about the Flamethrower is that you are NOT allowed to charge your Throwable while you are using it. If you go to use a Molotov, Grenade, or one of the other things, you will throw it INSTANTLY. If you use the Molotovs as much as I do, this is very dangerous, because you are very likely to set yourself on fire.

The Revolver - A Shotgun Chambered In .44 Magnum
The Revolver is basically the Shotgun with more range. It has almost the same damage, rate of fire, and accuracy, it just can't do crowd control as it only fires out a single bullet rather than a spread.
Interchangable with the Shotgun, but also the MP5K and Rocket Launcher, as its long range allows for longer snipes on those tough enemies.
The Throwables
The Grenade - That Thing I Keep Forgetting I Have
It's not that The Grenade is BAD per se, it's just that it's not really necessary. It's outclassed by the weapons, and also doesn't get thrown as far, even at max charge.
It can be used to take out turrets though, as it will instantly kill them, but enemies will probably just move away from them.

The Molotov - The Napalm Launcher But Aimable
The Molotov is my most used throwable, as it allows for a quick way to take out a group of a few enemies without using any ammo from your Flamethrower or Auto Shotty.

The Other Ones
I wouldn't know, I never used them. The Molotov was good enough that the other 3 throwables never really NEEDED to be used by me, so, if anybody who sees this would like to fill me in on their purpose and effectiveness, feel free.
The End
If you made it through the entire guide, thank you, and I hope it helped in any way possible.

If you want any reason to listen to my word, I shot my way through Hard Mode, and also managed to get the speedrun achievement, so I'd like to believe I at least have SOME knowledge of the game.

Something I think should be made mention about the Flamethrower is that it's incredibly effective when you tap-fire at individual hostiles. A single flame particle hitting someone is a guaranteed kill on anything except rocket turrets.

Uhh. No? MP40 as in the WW2 era Nazi submachine gun? Featured in this game is a modern submachine gun most similar in design to the MP5K. The resemblance between the 40 and the 5K is relatively non-existent, so I presume you must be mistaken somehow? Or trolling, in which case hats off I suppose.

sorry to say this, but i think the "MP5K' is actually an MP40, but that's my opinion, any of yall think its still an MP5K or something else. just thinkin

For the other 3 throwables, they are actually mines, you first select the middle one, then the one on the left, then the one on the right, these are diferent mine types, in order of selection the First is a Regular mine that detonates when it arms and a enemy walks into it, the second is a timed mine and the third is a shrapnel mine that does less dmg than a normal mine but over a larger radius it also detonates when people walk over it like the normal mine

While reading this I could think of good examples for every description you gave. Even down to the throwables and where my knowledge of them ends.

Mine mostly just flies straight as I said. I am not sure whether it locks on to the enemy that is sort of "locked on", as in with a coloured crosshair on them, or the nearest enemy, or what. I wish the game came with a better tutorial or something, especially as it is a remastering of the original. I initially thought the missile might follow your mouse pointer like in some games. I wish it did, as that would make it REALLY useful actually lol.

The Homing Rocket seems to be kind of random for me. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. I'll shoot in the direction of an enemy and it'll just fly by him, other times I'll shoot in the direction of an enemy and it'll swerve to the left into a wall.

A nice guide, thanks - even if you don't know what the other throwables are because neither do I for the same reason as you lol :D
One question: How does the homing rocket actually home? Both rockets for me seem to just fly straight. Thanks.
