Description
simfphys is a vehicle entity script that is primarily aimed for four-wheeled-ground-vehicles. These vehicles can be edited ingame, thats cool i guess, but don't put all sliders on max and expect good handling lmao.





stupid kids these days cant do anything without fat red arrows and pictures


some of the features:
  • engine powerband
  • automatic or manual transmission with realistic gearing
  • traction settings that reach from sliding like on ice to driving like its on rails
  • simple inbuilt lighting and emergency light system
  • mouse steering
  • remote controlling
  • joystick support REQUIRES THIS ADDON[github.com]
    (server needs the addon, client the "gmcl_joystick_win32.dll" module. Read the README.md if you are confused.)
  • simple vehicle damage system (can be disabled in the server settings menu)


console commands
  • sv_simfphys_devmode
    - enable/disable Edit Properties menu. 0 = disabled, 1 = enabled,requires a map reload

  • sv_simfphys_enabledamage
    - enable/disable vehicle damage. 0 = disabled, 1 = enabled

  • sv_simfphys_gib_lifetime
    - gib lifetime, value is in seconds. 0 = Never despawn

  • sv_simfphys_forceworkshop
    - enable/disable forced workshop. 0 = disabled, 1 = enabled,requires a map reload

  • sv_simfphys_playerdamage
    - enable/disable players collision damage (in vehicle). 0 = disabled, 1 = enabled

  • sv_simfphys_damagemultiplicator
    - increase/decrease vehicle collision damage. default = 0

  • sv_simfphys_fuel
    - enable/disable fuel system. 0 = disabled, 1 = enabled

  • sv_simfphys_fuelscale
    - scales the fuel tank size for all vehicles. default = 0.1, 1 = realistic fueltank size (up to 3 hours of fullthrottle driving)

  • lua_run local tbl = physenv.GetPerformanceSettings() tbl.MaxVelocity = 200000000 physenv.SetPerformanceSettings(tbl)
    - increase max velocity (topspeed) (doesnt work in darkrp. you have to edit the gamemode for that)

  • sv_simfphys_teampassenger
    - only allow players of the same team to enter the same vehicle? 1 = team only, 0 = everyone can enter

so unless you tell me how to alter the source-collision-behavior without making an unreliable ranger-applyforce-based-system to replace the current spherical wheels there is nothing i can do for you

gta v vehicle physics are in no way comparable with what we are doing in gmod. The wheel-collision behavior is all done by the source engine

It isnt exactly something related to suspension values as whatever they may be, wheels can still get caught on inclines such as footpaths; it compresses the suspension on an angle and pushes the car upwards.
What im talking about is a string where, if a wheel drives over one of those inclines, it just pops itself at the top to avoid sending the vehicle. GTAV's driving makes a good example of it if you want to see what im talking about.

If there's one suggestion to make, it would be a wheel-bump supression of some sort. I.e. if the a wheel is driven into a gutter or something thats just as high, it just pops up with little affect to the suspension and doesnt drive the car into the air.
