DayZ-ish Survival on Chernarus

This has recently been updated to be even MORE like the original DayZ experience. Granted, not everything can be the same, but I tried my hardest. I hope you enjoy it. :)

OK, first off, this is my first ever release of anything. So please, I ask that you be gentile. :) Also, this is still a WIP.

This project first started off as a thing for me and a friend, but I figured I'd release it to try to get some feedback and some help.

Now moving on...I have attempted to make a re-creation of a DayZ type game, to the best of my abilities. I don't know any scripting what-so-ever. So everything is pretty basic. Being that I know nothing about scripting, there are quite a few things that are not in here that I would like to try to add later. Maybe somebody can help me out with that. I'm trying to make some shops/traders to get rid of the random traders that roam around with the survivors.

This is pretty much just your basic zombie survivor type game. There is a few bases that have some goodies in them, as well as storage for what you might pick up in your travels. Just find a map and they should be marked.

Props to haleks for the Ravage module. If it wasn't for that, this would not have been. All mods used belong to the rightful owners. I take zero credit for anything. All I did was put things in here, and this is the outcome.

Has random enemy and friendly AI patrols, some with vehicles, some without. Random survivors that can be recruited. Random wondering traders. Random wrecks. Pretty much random everything.

I hope you enjoy. If not, please let me know what can be changed to make it better, more balanced, harder/easier. Just keep in mind I'm not the greatest at this, so I will do what I can. ENJOY :D

Make sure you remember to manaually load the RAVAGE mod AND the TRYK in the launcher.

:::: TO HOST::::: To host, go to MP>HOST>LAN>then play normally. You can play alone or with up to 4 friends. However you want. As it stands, it is set up for 1-5 people. (LAN isn't needed, just safer that way)

Stay tuned, as I'm going to be updating little things every so often to try to highten the experience. Adding things as I learn, possibly taking away things that aren't needed anymore, or replacing them with other, maybe better things.

Yeah I've been looking for a Arma 3 DayZ for a long time, I liked your mod if you updated it wou;d be great. since no one else really has any good DayZ mod on the workshop rn.

And you aren't stupid you made a brilliant mod, you were probably just busy with more important buisness. (Sorry for spelling a bit tired)

@EmeraldGaming-Hey, sorry about that. I haven't worked on this thing in quite some time. So chances are the Ravage mod has been updated, but I didn't update on here.

So no, you aren't stupid, and I would never say that. I'm the stupid one for giving up on this. I was unaware people were still trying it.

With the Ravage mod when I "search" something I never find anything. I tried Ravage on it's own but it still didn't work. Nothing spawns on the ground either like the original DayZ. Could someone please get back to me with a fix/tell me if I'm just stupid.

for some reason when i respawn i spawn underwater and just keep dying from drowning

Yea, the filter was a requested thing. Being an 'apocolypic' setting I figured why not. But I'm not sure how to make it optional.

I think the issue with the OCP is that I don't have the option to use those building for loot spawns. So I could see the issue with the lack of items for a bit. Understandable.

I'm not sure about the fast forward thing, but I have been thinking of converting this to SP to make it easier.

But there are still things I'm learning to hopefully make it a better experience in the future.

But I do appreciate the input. :) I'll probably tinker with things tomorrow.

I see where you were trying to go with this, but it just didn't turn out. First off, scrap the visual filter or make it optional. Second, I really like that you included the Open Chernarus project, but nothing spawns in those buildings. Which makes the fact that you start off unarmed so much worse. And since it can't be played in single player mode you can't fast forward until you reach another town to search more buildings.

Which traders/friendlies are you trying with?

Not all friendlies can be interacted with. Only the traders that patrol around. And they are pretty rare. I think the only thing you can do with most friendlies is check their bags.

Also, there is no enhanced movement mod in this, so I don't think that would be the issue.

Hey man, love the mod. Only issue is that I cannot recruit any friendlies or interact with the traders. The option is not there at all on the scroll menu. Only mod that I can think of that could be interfering is enhanced movement since it comes with the enhanced interaction module. Is that the issue??
