Changing colors

The editor should provide a color menu like in c1, and it probably will at some point. Meanwhile, just use your numpad. But if your keyboard, like mine, doesn't have one, there's a trick:
  • open up windows "on-screen keyboard"
  • enable numpad (options->"turn on numeric key pad")
  • memorize where the 2 (or whatever number represents the color you're looking for) is
  • alt+tab to get back to the game screen
  • click on the memorized number spot
  • happy map editing

My keyboard has a Numeric Key pad, but it does not have a numlock 2 button, I found somwhere that I need to press Num lock 2 to change the faction of my units I place in the editor.
Do I need to press numlock + 2 or somthing like that?

I'm not sure what you mean bu "numlock 2". If your keyboard doesn't have a numeric keypad [upload.wikimedia.org], just follow the tutorial to enable it for the on-screen keyboard (I've updated it).
