I know ARK's animals are not supposed to be the real-life creatures, and I love the game regardless of it's inaccuracies. This is merely to show a "what-if" of what it would be like if the ARK team strived for realism in their creatures designs.

Next is Pteranodon!

So even though the in-game reconstructions don't bother me too much (but believe me I'd rather have correct ones) the ARK Pteranodon has ALWAYS bothered me for one reason:

IT WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO FLY. Most of the in-game reconstructions look like they could actually function on some level, but ARK's Pteranodon with the huge cuts taken out of the wing membrane? Yeah they'd be able to fly about as well as a sofa.
Now aside that I've covered it in pterosaur fuzz or "pycnofibres" that it would have in life and I did some anatomical corrections with the size of the head and changed the legs/feet. It also has rounded wingtips as it should.
The color scheme is based on a Kingfisher, though I'm sure the real Pteranodon would look more like a sea-bird but oh well, display colors for males I guess.
I also maintain the size of the creature so it looks like it could carry a person despite in reality being MUCH smaller cause I don't hate fun.
