Skyway was just Greenlit :)
Description
Release date: Fourth quarter 2016

Skyway is a third person puzzle-platformer set in an abstract universe! Jump, Climb, and Dash your way through the increasingly difficult environments! Locate the secrets, score the fastest time, and challenge yourself to master the controls!

  • Challenge your brain with a series of puzzles designed to stump you
  • Test your reflexes by avoiding enemies, timing jumps, and grabbing shields
  • Support for the XBox One and Playstation 4 Controllers
  • Native versions for Mac OSX, Windows, and Linux
  • 4k resolution support and runs over 60FPS
  • A comprehensive statistics system allows you to compete for death-less runs, fastest runs, and any other self-imposed challenge

Skyway's Dash mechanic allows you to reach places not normally accessible with standard movement controls. For more height, you can grab ledges and climb your way to victory! Combining these two controls gives you total control over the movement of your character, and you'll be expected to use them in unexpected ways to score a fast time!

The world is somewhat hostile, and you'll be dodging missiles, avoiding turrets, and evading robots to reach the goal.

You find yourself thrown into a strange world, where your only friend is a robotic companion who's quickly running out of battery. You must find a new power source to keep your drone, and your sanity, alive. Things go downhill when you start experiencing visions of a calmer time. Solve the mystery so you can figure out who you really are, and where you came from!

Skyway is being developed solely by me (RobProductions). It is currently around 70% complete. If all goes well, the release will happen before 2017 for the PC, Mac, and Linux (SteamOS). Pricing will most likely be under $10, and the estimated game length for the single player campaign is around 3 hours. The game is meant to be replayed to compete for better times.

Hello! I am Solar, CEO of Project Indie.

As we pick up speed, we offer advertisement and publicity, pre-release / developer edition game feedback from game developers themselves, and professional game reviews once we get your game pushed from Greenlight onto Steam! Don't worry, all of this is completely free . By allowing us to help you grow, it helps us as well by giving us content to produce and share. Contact me with Steam or Tweet to us @ProjectIndie.

Thank you!

The gameplay seems pretty fun. The graphics could look better though.

We are running the Game Development World Championship and would like to see you participate. It's good for your visibility and won't cost you a penny.

You can check it out at www.thegdwc.com .

Good luck with the development!

@ReallyMadHobo I haven't seen that package before. Climbing is a pretty common feature in third person games so I can understand why that mistake would be made. Rest assured, I wrote the character movement (and every other system) myself in JS.

Hi @ReallyMadHobo, not sure where you got that impression--apart from the clouds and water texture, all the assets were made by me. Anyways, apologies if you weren't impressed; I would be grateful for your suggestions on elements I could improve on for the future.

@TheBlondeGamer and @CoreBot123, thank you for the positive comments!
