How to add in your own custom decals into the game!

Custom decals in four easy steps!

Welcome!
Today i will show you how to add in your own custom decals in four easy steps!

Set-up

This is a RECOMEDATION, not required.
The game prefers square or 2/1 (512x256) rectangles, but anything over 100x100 pixels seem to work fine, with minor streching.
Get a free image editor like this one [www.getpaint.net] if you are really concerned.

Step one: Locate/Get a image you want to use

This is, of course, the easy part.
Find any image that is a .png, NOT A .JPG OR .GIF!
(.png supports transparency, others do not)
Here is the image i picked:








(It was easy becuase it's square in shape and is transparent)

Step two: Locate appropriate game folder

Next, find the correct game folder.
It SHOULD be under the following path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Street Legal Racing Redline v2.3.1\decals\textures\catalog

Open any of the folders in that folder (I used the "Misc" folder).

PLEASE NOTE:
Double check to see if the image is a .png! Anything but a .png will CRASH THE GAME!
Also, the folder you put the image in is what section the decal will be in at the shop.
Also, DO NOT MAKE A NEW FOLDER! IT WILL CRASH!

It should look like this (i'm using the folder "misc"):

Step three: Launch the game!

Before you launch the game, close all file browsers!

Now, launch the game!
(Can't do anything with the new decal unless you launch it)!

Step four: PROFIT!

If everything ends well, your new decal should be in the shop, like this:










Don't worry about the deformed thumbnail, it's fine when you put it on your car.

Again, i put my image in the "Misc" folder, which means it's in the "Misc" category of the decals section of the shop!

i figured out how to use mod tool some time ago

Oh, really? They must of fixed it so that it doesn't crash anymore.
But as far as i know, .png are the only ones that show up
