New demo and trailer
Brand new demo!
Release date: Q3 2017

Infinite Desolation is a unique fusion of high intensity top-down action and deep sci-fi survival RPG, set on a harsh planet that will test your grit.

To stay alive, you will have to battle not only hordes of tenacious creatures and robotic enemies, but also the unforgiving environment.

To even the odds, you will build up a pretty impressive arsenal of weapons, crafted items and special abilities as you level up, explore the environment and complete missions.

Infinite Desolation is much more than a simple action game. Deep character progression, exploration and looting, crafting, day-night cycles, environmental hazards, classic survival mechanics and world-jumping portals are all part of the package.

The one thing you can be sure of, is that everything here will try to kill you.

Hey! I just noticed you used some of my particle effects for this game! It's really cool to see them in action!

Best of luck with the game development, it looks like a lot of fun!

@Ry5, thank you for your thoughts. We haven't yet worked out exactly how co-op will be implemented, in terms of which modes of play. It would be nice to have in single player story mode, but it comes with a lot of potential time-consuming (i.e. expensive) challenges. On the difficulty thing, yes, there will be a range of single player difficulties to choose from, all the way down to a kind of pure story mode.

Shared screen would be ideal but if the game has limited co-op then I don't see us getting copies. Something to consider is my son and friends have a HUGE interest in shooters like this I imagine it's because they are so visually stimulating, but developers don't seem to have interest in an entry level type of difficulty setting that would allow younger kids to play. I think there is an under tapped market there. Kids can't really play geometry wars, or helldivers or alien swarm or lots of those kinds of games. I am not advocating dumbing a game down at all. I like the challenges, I just think it's a waste of all this work when gameplay options are not there that let this work reach all the hands that would want to experience it. Looks great so far, and will be following this game's progress.

I can't tell for sure, but it looks like co-op is going to just be a horde type mode with a score counter. I would really implore the developer to make the campaign allow full co-op. My family has been looking for a top down shooter with an emphasis on fun instead of friendly fire and other things that held games like helldivers from having long term retention.

Thanks for all the encouraging comments! We are under the radar for a few days, working on a new release for the demo and trailer with a lot of visual upgrades in it.
