This mod provides a personal Gravestone that will help you recover your lost items (from death).

Craft and place your personal Gravestone to use after you have died. I recommend placing it within a reasonable proximity to a bed.

Tribes can arrange these in a Graveyard fashion. Each stone can only be used by the person that placed it.

Once activated any objects found on all of your corpses or your death caches will be returned to your inventory.

There is a 30 sec cool-down between usages to prevent spamming which could create performance issues, this timer can be adjusted using the game options listed bellow.

* New Feature * * UPDATED the | delimiter has been changed to , **

You can configure an exclusion list in the ini settings, this will allow you specify items that you do not want the stone to recover. The list of items is seperated by type pipe symbol: ,

The above example would prevent the stone from recovering gps and torches.

You can now use a wildcard to enable partial patern matching. The wildcard is: .. (that's dot dot).

You can use the wildcard in one of three ways. Here is an example:

In this example we first exlude any items that have primalitemresource_ as the first part of their item name. Next we exclude any items that has the word consumable anywhere in it's item name and lastly we exclude any item that has wyvern at the end of it's item name.

The ExclusionList is now case insensitive, meaning you don't have to worry about caps. I recommend you continue using them as it improves your ability to manage the data, but if you messup you don't have to worry about it as long as the entry is properly spelled (so it matches the item).

The grave stone will take damage over time so be sure to do regular maintenance.

You will no longer be able to pickup the stone if the timer is running or if it is damged.

If you own multiple stones they will all share the same timer.

A Newly placed stone will inherit the timer from any existing stones for that user.

When items are found a new affect, Flame of Recovery will occur letting you know the stone has started to recover items. Flames will last 5 seconds (longer then it takes to actually recover items).

If no flames show up then no items were found, so nothing will be recovered.

Thanks to Firespark81 for the indirect idea for the Flame of Recovery.

Admin command to summon a personal stone:
cheat giveitem "Blueprint'/Game/Mods/DeathRecovery/PrimalItemStructure_Personal_Grave.PrimalItemStructure_Personal_Grave'" 1 0 0

** The following settings are OPTIONAL!! **
** Do not add a setting to your ini unless you need to change **
** it from the default. The following settings are NOT default **
** They are examples of what you MIGHT do with them. **

Setting options for GameUserSettings.ini

To change the decay timer on the stone set DelayTimer to the number of seconds you desire.

1 min = 60
5 min = 300
30 min = 1800
1 hour = 3600
1 day = 86400

To make the stone decay in one day (RL) set the DecayMultiplier to 0.142857

I don't recommend having the stone decay faster then 3 days.

If you need to remove stones quickly then I recommend you use MaxLifeSpan.

MaxLifeSpan is set by choosing how many seconds to stone can exist.

DisablePickup=true will disable the option that allows the stone to be picked up.

UseOnce=true will cuase the stone to be destroyed once the stone is used.

When UseOnce is set the DelayTimer determins how long until the stone is destroyed. While the stone is on cooldown it can't be used.

ThereCanOnlyBeOne=true will prevent the player from placing more than one stone. (this will have no affect on existing stones).

UseGlobalTimer=true will cause all stones in the game to use the same cooldown timer, all players will be affected, first come first use.

********************* WARNING **********************
The game deletes any corpse or loot cache that goes outside the map boundries. How agressive this is depends on the map designer.

At times being killed by a sea creature can cuase your inventory to be removed/deleted from your corpse.

This mod cannot recover items that have been deleted by the game.

I have reports of incompatabilies with HG mods affecting placement. If you've used HG mods with this mod please let me know.

* Flame of Recovery may not be showing when stone is activated and items are recovered. If this occurs you need to pickup the stone and re-place it.

The mod is free and comes with limited support (when I'm available).

So it has to be the fire affect that is triggered when you sucesfully use the grave, it's the only time I impact the graphics card.

Basicly the 900 series have in the current version the particle affects bug that the 700 series cards have had for over a year. yeah us.

But rolling back helped so perhaps they will fix it in the 900's

So I rolled back my GPU driver to the previous version since it was actually working with ark... And now the game runs again. The wierd thing though, is that when I use the death recovery grave... I no longer get the fatal crash. Idk what or how something fixed itself, but... It did...?

Gpu is a Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 4gb
Manalo  [author] Jul 19 @ 12:55am
nice what gpu do you have? that is Microsfts download page for the direct X drivers. I think you should run that, it may fix a few things. Then you need to uninstall your gpu driver, reboot and then download a new copy of the gpu driver and install it.
Sero Jul 18 @ 6:43pm
Yeah, I followed all those steps. I looked into the ARK error (not the mod), and one idea I rememberd was to try and update my GPU drivers. Well.. Now I am getting D3D errors from the unreal engine and cant even get into my game. x-x

so did you folow the steps, just rn a single player game with only this mod? if it fails at that point the files installed are damaged no if ands or butts about it. If you can't get a clean copy from Steam right now ask anyone you play with if they have a working copy and can send you the files.
Sero Jul 18 @ 5:24pm
I'm off in single player. Everything was working fine, even with it installed... all until I tried using the grave.
Manalo  [author] Jul 18 @ 5:22pm
Are you playing on a server or single player? The issue could be on both or one or the other. Also steam has been having trouble for days so even following the steps could be resulting in a bad copy continually being downloaded :( Always test in single player first with only this mod, once that is working add in the rest of the mods, once that is working move on to the server test.

So, for the third time in a row, I have encounted the Fatal Crash from using the Grave Stone inside of the Abberation map... I have tried your steps all 3 times to clean everything up, and install a fresh new copy... But nothing has worked. Fatal error!

Going to throw this error into the bug reports.
