ACRE2: Advanced Combat Radio Environment

ACRE is a full fledged communications suite for Arma, allowing realistic radio and voice communications through Teamspeak 3.

A short list of some ACRE2 features
  • Accurate simulations of AN/PRC-343, AN/PRC-77, AN/PRC-148, AN/PRC-117F, AN/PRC-152.
  • Real time voice occlusion for world objects, including buildings.
  • Babel language system that allows you to implement virtual languages on other players.
  • Multi-channel audio, allowing people on the radio to be heard locally as well.
  • Radios with external speakers.
  • Highly detailed radio signal simulation.
  • A highly customizable and documented framework for the creation of radios.
  • A highly customizable and documented framework for implementing different game modes (persistent world, replays, logging, external data storage, external radio control).
  • Customizable sound configs that allow traditional patching of sounds played in ACRE via Arma addons.
  • Customizable radio presets, allowing groups to define radio presets in additional addons for mission makers to take advantage of (also see the F3 framework).
  • Enhanced and easily configurable vehicle sound occlusion and intercoms.

ACRE2 is dependent on the teamspeak plugins being installed. These should be copied to your teamspeak folder automatically on game startup.

@antacid412 TFAR Stable is stoneage. ACRE2.0 and TFAR Beta (both equally stable) are at the same age of technology (functionality).

i am trying to get my group out of the stoneages from the other radio mod and move to this mod but i cant get it to work i cant get any sound on TS there a how too guide looked on the wiki and did not see what i need TS is 3.2.3 and ACRE is 2.6.2996

So I've been playing with ACRE2 on DUWS RHS with a few friends recently, but randomly tonight their voices became distorted and robotic. I read something about a "babel" feature being introduced, but I could not delete the module in an uneditable mission. The mod worked fine on the exact same mission before today. How do I fix this?

The problems people were having with ACRE2 and TeamSpeak crashing was not due to ACRE2. TeamSpeak often updates and doesn't tell developers what it has changed for a few days, thus resulting in plugins not working as intended. TFAR also encounters similar issues.

A large number of people that I play with have been having issues where sometimes ACRE is not fully functional in terms of hearing others over the radios. We are still using TS version 3.1.10 after hearing about the issues. For reference, some people will be able to hear a person transmitting while others won't be able to and there is no rhyme or reason to it most of the time.

Update your teamspeak client to the beta version to fix the teamspeak client crashing issue. Worked for me and all my friends.

I honestly regret ever subscribing to this mod - because now i can't even get rid of your shitty addon to TS3
