Can I use my screenshots of these ships for a Sci-fi RP site I'm in?
Yorick  [author] Jun 27 @ 1:42pm
@Katatonia it doesnt overwrite anything, it just adds a new style of ships to pick from. an update for it is in the works. but it should work just fine, there will just be a few missing models. which will be defaulted to vanilla models

Question: Does this overwrite vanilla ships in any way? I want to play with this mod but I don't want to delete the vanilla stuff either. I want to be able to use the vanilla and this mod together. Is that how this works?

@Davidius You gotta place the correct engine locators in MAYA.

They're usualy called things like engine_small_01, engine_medium_01 or engine_large_01 (the numbers are ofcourse incremental, and i think there is a few more types other then small/medium/large aswell.

After that you gotta rotate them 180 degrees since the locators always spawn facing inwards, and then you gotta add effects to the locators in the .gfx file where all the ships and their locators are listed.

Love your mods Yorick! I have been using them for a long time now and they still work(with a few minor edits to things like starbases) in 2.1.

I do have a question for you, how did you add the engine particles to the correct places? I am trying to edit some mods on my own but haven't figured that out yet. Any help or pointers in the right direction are welcome!

@Qubit i never planned to make the mod NSC compatible, the preveious patch for that was made by the NSC developers, i am unsure if they will be keeping that updates with the recent updates though.

Are you still planning on updating for NSC compatibility?
