Winter is Coming to Civ Deluxe

Winter is Coming bonus mods
10 items
A mod centered around the world of A Song of Fire and Ice, written by George R.R. Martin, with influences and art from the HBO show Game of Thrones. You choose who to rule and who to conquer in a 12 way battle for dominance.

For Gameplay, please visit this awesome guy's videos

The mod includes new buildings, units and wonders inspired by the world of ASOIAF; 11 of which are only buildable in the capital of one of the factions. These are:
Pyramid of Meereen in Meereen; the Horse Gate in Vaes Dothrak; and for every other civ except the Freefolk the Capital Castle in the respective Capital as in Dragonstone wonder in Dragonstone only.

The Tech tree is also quite different, filled with new buildings, units, wonders, and stoping at Renaissance era techs as far as most things go, but continues with 3 techs; Master of Whispers is Modern Era which reveals the map and triggers ideology choice; Diplomacy in Information Era which allows the founding of United Nations, and a Diplomatic win; and Mentoring a repeatable Tech that boosts score, as well as adding +1gold and +1culture to the palace each time it is researched.

3 Victory types are enabled, the classic Domination Victory, a slightly altered Cultural Victory, as the only places to put your great art works will be in gardens and in the 3 slots available at the palace (I recommend using Dynamic Culture Overview mod) , and a Diplomatic victory that requires you to research Banking for World Congress, Master of Whispers for Host reelection and increased voting size, and finally Diplomacy for the founding of United Nations and the ability to win by World Leader vote.

While the mod can be enabled and played on any map, 2 Scenario maps (they must be loaded before pressing Start Game) are included which will place every civ in the canonically correct place. The second map WesterosEssosMao provides the starting points and a geographycally correct world, while maintaining a Civ V feel to it, while the first map WesterosEssosDeluxe has significantly more hours put into it, and is concieved as a true scenario for fans of ASOIAF, resources being plentifull at the begining, but luxuries being only available to the starting cities, forcing players to declare war on neighbors just to stay in the game, or having to painfully maintain relations with factions you would rather be at war with because of an ongoing deal for a resource you sorely need You can find them in the Map folder, with the mod, and you'll have to copy them and paste them in C:\Users\[User]\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\Maps for them to be available for play.

If you'd like a bit more immersion, utility, and enjoyment I'd recomment using the mods: Dynamic Culture Overview; Barbarians - Unlimited Exp; Trading Posts Grow into Renaissance Towns and Winter Events and Decisions (the last two being more of a Patch to an existing mod, made specifically to be used with this mod)

This mod is more of an extensive patch to the original Winter is Coming to Civ fixing many, but not all of the problems the mod had, as well as adding a few gameplay options and another much closer designed map which I highly recoment you guys play on (WesterosWEssosDeluxe).
Credits of course go to Virtual Boza, Luir and Nokmirt for making such a great mod to begin with.

Make sure to update the maps with the new maps after updates, if specified in the change notes.

Thank you guys for reading thus far, and checking out the mod, any ideas, bug findings and the such are always welcomed. And make no mistake, I know this isn't a finished mod, nor do I think this will work for everyone, but it's as close to done as I'm willing to go for now, and it's been ready for upload for a while now.

I also don't see the Essos scenario when I try and change the map to it. I don't have any button after configuring the mods besides "Singleplayer" anyways.

For some reason, I really am unable to get the mod to give me a Settler on start. I unsubbed/resubbed, am playing on the World of Ice and Fire map, and have all the mods in the collection for this one. I haven't tried playing other Civs besides Danny, but she doesn't spawn a settler when I play.
Is there something I'm missing? Is this just a broken mod?

Is it possible to play with these civs outside of this scenario? To have a one on one dual map matchup or even play Targaryen vs Attila

So I was playing the map on a randomly generated highlands map as the vale. Everything was fine until I researched Engineering and I wasn't able to build the wonder "the Eyrie" in my capital.
Now I know this isn't game breaking but it was quite anoying.
Do you have a fix for it or any tips on making it so I can make the wonder anyway?

I downloaded the mod (through the workshop and manually with the dropbox link) and it doesn't show up under mods in the game. Help please

I can't get the GoT cultures to show up. The only choice I get is Random and it's one of the regular ones already in the game. Also, the cities show up as this type: TXT_KEY_CITY_NAME_WINTERFELL. What am I missing?
