Automatic Doors

Makes all doors open and close automatically!

You come home from a hard and hefty farming day, and then there is it. The door. Doesn't it bother you to ever press that E button open it? Fear no more, citizen, for convenience is here!

This mod makes all doors in the game (all that rely onto doors.lua actually) automatic. This means you'll be able to just walk straight forward against a door and it will open and close without your consent!
Though you should probably be careful when there are monsters at your door, as you will open the door now when you come too close...
It also open automatically ONLY for players, NPCs still have to use doors manually and monsters still can't open them.
Though NPCs also close the doors automatically behind them now, which means that you no longer have to worry that monsters might slip into your house! (Though it is not 100% foolproof if a monster stands right next to the door when the NPC opens it)
Doors should also behave as normal doors when they are locked or wired, wiring a door disables automatic mode while dewiring one enables it again.
If a door behaves funky after you downloaded a new version, walk through it and away from it once and see that the NPCs do the same, also be sure to reload your game!

In case of issues: If you are getting stuck, like in a mission, you can open the chat and type "/admin" followed by "/settileprotection 0 false". This allows you to destroy blocks. Set it to true again after you got through the faulty door so you don't lose the experience. And report the issue to me :)

I've never had it crash with that mod though. Yours is the first report of that.
Please recreate the crash then
go into \starbound\storage\
open starbound.log (it may just say Starbound with some default windows options to hide known file extensions)

@Haraken: hmm,ye I could see this become an issue. The mod was never laid out for such extensive scenarios and I always thought that it would create issues at that level, but there is not that much I can do I am afraid. The mod relies on a universal time constant to query requests, which could be changed, but which then again would change the behaciour for all users.

But you may try adjusting the code yourself, check the forums thread for info and if something is still unclear, you might ask us (though I didn't mod starbound for a good 2 years)

While I absolutely love this mod, I am unsubscribing because some doors with high NPC traffic in Frackin Universe tend to bug with having too many requests to open/close (ended up locking me in a bathroom while about 5 or 7 NPC try to come to me to say their line but kept activating the door at the same time before any of them or myself could pass, it was fixed with restarting, but I think I'll with door sensors instead).

Also couldn't use most door as shield while fighting ranged units indoors did have some weight in my decision.

Good mod, only a few rough edges in very peculiar cases.

It works well and I like it. This is a kind of bug report. I had a problem in "Fetch the Apex Artifact" of main quest. A door before the boss did not open, and I had to quit and restarted. I stopped subscribing the mod and the quest went without problem. After that, I subscribe the mod again. Thank you for the good mod.

@Doctor Tee any that are also messing with the door-scripts. Which currently none are known. But also mods that introduce customized doors which are angled like those on the outpost might not work.

ordinary wooden doors. and I know it was using your scripts as I was poking around with 'em trying to debug 'em.
