Release date: Second quarter 2017

Seasteader is a sandbox city building and management strategy game, similar to games like Banished, the Tropico series, and classic games like Pharaoh, Caesar III and the Theme and Tycoon games.

The game is set on the wide open ocean, where you build your floating community. As a sandbox game, and one that is easily moddable at that, you're free to play the game in whichever manner you desire.

Gameplay in Seasteader will focus around creating production chains to sell goods on the global market, and taking care of the needs of your citizens such as entertainment and environment.

There is no one set way to win the game, so you can work with production chains and prioritise needs in whichever order you want, for a unique playthrough every time.

Be sure to check out our Kickstarter that's currently running, where you can pledge to help us make Seasteader into an even better game than we envisioned!

And don't forget to follow us on Twitter and leave any feedback there or in the comments below!

Thank you for your vote and for helping to spread the word!

Looks decent but I'm not exciting for this one yet. Clearly would have take a lot of effort but it's not enough. I want to know what makes it unique. Why should I care?

Thank you for your support, fenix! It's quite all right. We'll still manage to get the game done by self-funding. It'll just take a bit longer :)
