Marshazzle, I am aware of that bug that keeps the second exit door from opening. It was fixed with an update but the maps produced during that time remain buggy. This is not what I was talking of though. I find no way to go straight into the exit. Jumping from the side is always deflected. Anduin described it already.

Toncica, the problem you're having with the exit is a bug. If you refer to this thread, you can get an idea of what I mean. Thanks for playing our map!

Thats a little weird that you can't get through the exit. But sure, once we find the time we will make a video walkthrough. I'm a little busy at the moment, so I'll do ti sometime soon.

Well, fuck me! I just noticed I didn't even get the first cube the intended way. I used the light bridge to catch it after it's fired from the faith plate. Now I see you're supposed to carry it behind the grate. It seems my brain is not wired to play this map. And what "button up in the air above the cleansing dropper" are you talking of? I see no button. Am I going mad?

I've come back to this unfinished business. Good news is, Valve has apparently fixed some bugs and the map no longer looks like a flip book. Bad news is I'm not getting any Pro points. I've given up on finding the solution. Everything I do is futile. Getting the first cube is easy but then it's end of the road for me. I got the second cube but surely in an unintended way. Like Anduin I'm not able to enter the exit. The door frame is ninja proof. Not from the side, not from above, not with jumping from different directions on the gel or with flinging. Can't enter the exit... that's it.

Here is a tiny portion of my suffering: http://youtu.be/BiEYgaD8YdY

I would be grateful if you put up a solution video. At least I would have learned something.

I'm sorry. I did not realize there was a lag issue with this map. I guess I can understand, with there being a lot going on. It was fine on my computer, so I didn't think about it once. Right now though I'm working on smaller levels with some other ideas.

Thanks for the feedback though!

Are you aware that the map is horribly laggy on some computers? I immediately thought "oh no, the buggy lazers" when the map started with what seems like sub 10 fps. Jaxe, author of the map Decay, managed to fix that issue somehow. He is working with Hammer though.

I didn't really make much progress on this map. Obviously I didn't discover this new concept how to clean the bouncing cube yet, and after one hour with the nerve wrecking lag I decided to postpone this map. Hopefully the issue can be fixed and I can try again sometime. So far I generally like what you're doing. Now off to play the third map.

By using the "high" light bridge while standing on a "low bridge" right next to the button (up in the air), it is possible to jump IN the area, press the button und jump out of the area. (doesn't help since you haven't got the cube you need, but still )=

And good to know there is a way INTO the exit. I already tought ya missed testing that o.0

Thanks for the feedback. I must say though, that everything in the map is 100% possible. We tested it all multiple times. The way you have to clean the bouncing cube we believe is a new concept we figured out. Also, you CAN get into the exit, but theres a little more too it than jumping. I'd rather not say how to do it all in a post, but I assure you that everything is possible in the map.

The only thing I'm not sure about is when you said "possibility to reach the button behind the angeled pannel threw lightbridge"... Are you tlaking about the button up in the air above the cleansing dropper?

Thanks again, and I'd try the level again and see if you can figure it out. There IS a way :)
Anduin May 20, 2012 @ 3:32pm
Just finished your test, got a bit feedback for ya:

- Really big minus: You can't reach the exit. I cleared the hole map, stood on the block right next to the exit and jumped at it....and jumped at it...and jumped at it...
As far as i know it's impossible to "fly" threw the exit door. It seems that also include jumps.

A few good things:
- quite complexe and confusing: Like
- can't see what you are doing while doing it (most stuff out of sight): Like
- Carrying the cube at the beginning: Like

possibility to reach the button behind the angeled pannel threw lightbridge
impossible to clean the blue cube ( even if the button only "trigger's an event, the player get's the idea he's doing it wrong)

Quite difficult and a uniqe design, like it. But there are more difficult maps out there, try harder!
