Description
Achilles is a gameplay modification for Arma 3. It expands the Zeus real-time editor with many new additions as well as provides bug fixes.

Achilles started as an expansion to Ares mod, which was created by Anton Struyk. Achilles became the de facto successor to Ares at the point the latter was no longer updated. Achilles has already grown into a splendid project, but new additions are still to come!

Documentation

Reporting Issues, Requesting Features and Changes
Please use our Issue Tracker[github.com] for these kinds of purposes.
In the case of a bug report, please only use a minimal set of mods (i.e. only use other mods than the required ones if they are clearly related to the issue).

Basic Steps
1. Fork the Achilles repository[github.com]
2. Set up your local development environment
3. Do your stuff
4. Create your pull request[help.github.com]
And then we will have a look at your work!

Setting up Your Local Development Environment
1. Clone your forked repository[help.github.com]
2. Set up your addon builder (either get Hephaestus[github.com] or use the AchillesAddonBuilder[github.com] in the repository)

Add a New Module
A good starting point for your new module is the custom module framework[github.com].
We will gladly help you to port your custom module to Achilles (message us on our Discord server[discord.gg]).

Add a Translation
You have to edit the stringtable[github.com]. The basics about string tables can be found on the Bohemia Interactive Wiki[community.bistudio.com]. If you don't want to edit the file with a text editor, you can use a dedicated tool such as Tabler[www.armaholic.com].

I believe what Kex is saying is that- it's doable. But it's not groundbreaking. This is an already existing piece of functionality in game. All that this would do is give the functionality the convenient Achilles wrapper that we all know and love.

All units spawned by the Curator should not be transferred to the server unless absolutely required. Transferring them to the server can cause locality issues and other unexpected behaviour of Achilles.

CfgRemoteExec is used for server admins if they use the CfgRemoteExec filter. It provides all the functions needed to be whitelisted for Achilles to work. If you don't use it, then do whatever you want with the file.

Would be nice to eventually get a feature where all units spawned transfer to the server automatically, like any other regular mission. It is very tedious and cumbersome to have to repeatedly send units and groups over to the server while running a mission.

so where does the cfgremoteexec go? the mission folder? i am using this with arma 3 zeus default missions so dont have direct access to the mission folder?

Have a bug with Achilles. 50% of the time when i control a unit as zeus, and i die the unit will make me stuck in a state where i cant respawn or go back into zeus. doesn't do it with ares, is it a possible conflicting mod?
