Earth Ripper (Mining Vehicle)

Description
This is the main mining vehicle I use in my survival world. It was all built in survival.
As is apparent I have not yet done any coloring - I might add this in the future.

The first toolbar contains all controls for moving, stopping and docking, while the second toolbar contains the mining controls.

There is a programmable block that - if run with the argument "mine" will drill down in the correct speed until all pistons are extended and retract them afterwards.

Maximum depth is 30m.

I used the awesome ladders mod for this build - but if you want a vanilla build, just don't load it and it won't cause bigger problems; it might just be hard to get on the craft without jetpack.

The mining procedure is, as follows:

1. Turn handbrake on (Toolbar1: 1)
1. 1 if you're on sloped terrain, block the wheels by placing station blocks - because of the mass of the vehicle I have not yet found a way to do this properly with landing gears without invoking the mighty clang.
2.a Execute the mining script (Toolbar2: 3)

2.b Alternatively you can:
2.b.1 Unlock the drillLock-Landing Gear (Toolbar2: 7)
2.b.2 Turn on the drills (Toolbar2: 8)
2.b.3 Set the Piston Group *EarthRipperExtendDrills* to 0.05 MANUALLY in the terminal (you can't just reverse them, because you probably want to retract them faster than you extend them).
2.b.4 When the pistons have been extended, set there speed to -1 (or even faster).
2.b.5 When the pistons have been retracted, lock the lockDrills-Landing Gear.

3. After you have mined the first whole, built new barriers (station blocks) some meters before the old ones (again: if your on sloped terrain) and drive some meters forward. When the rear connectors are over a rift, you can make the connectors throw stones out. To do so, check that the sorter block is correctly set up (whitelist: stone) and turn on sorter:drain-all (Toolbar2: 2) and Connectors:throw-out (Toolbar2: 1).
Then start over from 2.

Known bugs:
------------------------
Sometimes the Programmable Block won't find the drills/pistons because of some bug in the game. Unfortunately it will crash in this case, requiring you to
1. Unlock the drill landing gear (named Drill Lock in the terminal)
2. open the programmable block (named Mining Controller) in the terminal
3. click edit
4. delete a character and insert it again
5. click remember code & exit

After that it should work again, until the game messes it up again. If this is to complicated to your taste, you can also simply reload the save game.
-------------------------

If you lock the craft to the ground (using the landing gear) and afterwards unlock the drill lock (landing gear) you might experience the well known ship-goes-spiritual-bug which removes any collisions from the vehicle (you will fall right through it).
If you lock the drill lock again and unlock the landing gear on the ground, you will probably experience the even better known ship-forgets-that-gravity-is-a-thing-bug and the craft will float away.

In both cases it helps to reload the game... -_-
