Development Update: Diegesis, User Interfaces, and Virtual Reality!
Description
Release date: August 2016
Breathe, Focus… But Don’t Forget To Duck!

Enter the world of VRNinja, a fast-paced virtual reality game that challenges you to dodge and duck your way past flurries of flying weapons. With three scenic Japanese environments to experience and two challenging modes of play, VRNinja will put your reflexes to the test as you train to become the ultimate ninja master.

Which Weapon Will Be Your Undoing?

Each weapon in the ninja’s arsenal serves a different purpose, whether it is to trick you into letting your guard down or to overwhelm you with bombastic force. You’ll need to keep your wits about you and your body moving to outlast the ninja’s deadly onslaught.

Simple Controls, Yet Difficult To Master.

Playing VRNinja is as simple as plugging in your VR headset, booting up the game, and dodging your way to victory. No extra controllers or peripherals required.

“A ninja’s skill is as only as great as their ability to observe.”

Are Your Senses Sharp Enough To Survive?

Campaign Mode
Survive increasingly difficult waves of projectiles as you progress through three beautifully detailed environments. Complete ten waves in each zone to unlock the area in Arcade Mode!

Arcade Mode
Ramp up the challenge in the game’s endless mode. Withstand the barrage of weaponry for as long as you can, earn bragging rights, and dodge, dodge, dodge!

Three Exciting Environments To Explore!

The Dojo
Hone your instincts and develop your dexterity beneath the protective walls of the dojo.

The Hot Springs
Things really heat up in the hot springs as hazy clouds of steam obscure incoming projectiles from view.

The Night
In the dark of night, you’ll only have the light of moon and your acute sense of hearing to keep you safe and your body parts attached.

Four Deadly Weapons To Dodge!

Kunai
A single kunai may not seem like much of a threat -- until you’ve got a dozen flying at you from every angle imaginable. We hope you stretched beforehand.

Bombs
Not all bombs are created equal; some are stuffed full of kunai that slice through you when they detonate. Care to guess what kind of bomb you’ll find in VRNinja?

Shuriken
There’s an ancient proverb that says, “What goes around, comes around and hits you in the back of the head.” We’re pretty sure they were talking about shuriken.

Rockets
It’s all fun and games until someone launches a bunch of fireworks at your face, though some might argue that watching you try to track their twisting trajectory is equally amusing.

Take A Break With A Bowl Of Super Slow-Mo Ramen!

Nab a flying bowl of delicious, soupy ramen to activate a temporary time slow down. It’s just like The Matrix but with more ninjas and a greater sense of impending doom.

Release Notes

We currently have plans to include Oculus Rift and HTC Vive support for VRNinja for its (potential) Steam release in late August. If you have a different VR headset that you feel could be supported, please let us know in the comments below and we will take it into consideration.
