I'm not asking the devs to change the core concept of the game - it is solid as it is. However, I think that it might be cool if they added some occasional variety in threats to spice things up, just like in the shows that inspired it. This could be as small as having an odd side mission involving dealing with the new threat, or have its own developed storyline with assosicated missions, research, unique enemies, and procedurally generated big bad! Again, I am well aware that this may not be in line with the developer's intent, and (as someone who has dabbled in game design in the past) I know it would take a lot of work to implement these things. I just think the variety would be a nice touch. If nothing else, it would be good expansion pack material. I'd buy it, without a doubt.
That being said, I feel like posing a question - why just vampires? Now, I do realize that the premise is "hunting vampires in Nebraska", and that it is heavily inspired by "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". However, and correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think all of the threats on that show were vampires. What I'm saying is that maybe the devs should try to incorporate some other enemy types into the game to add to variety. Aliens, zombies, ghosts, werewolves, magic users, mutants, demons, shapshifters, sinister corporations, and even some of the Cthulhu Mythos elements from Eldritch - the possibilities are endless.
