Release date: 2017
Scorn is an atmospheric first-person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and somber tapestry.

It is designed around the idea of "being thrown into the world". Isolated and lost inside this dream-like world, you will explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion. The unsettling environment is a character itself.

Every location contains its own theme (story), puzzles and characters that are integral in creating a cohesive world. Throughout the game you will open up new areas, acquire different skill sets, weapons, various items and try to comprehend the sights presented to you.

-Cohesive “lived-in” world - Scorn takes place in an open-ended world with different interconnected regions. Each region is a maze-like structure with various rooms and paths to discover. All the storytelling happens in-game, with no cut-scenes to distract you from the grisly reality of the living, breathing world you’re in. But keep your eyes open - the game won’t show you any sympathy if you miss something important on your uneasy travels. Everything has a reason and purpose - you just need to work out what it is.

-Full body awareness – Players will experience better immersion being aware of the character’s body and movement. Interaction with the world is realistic - objects are picked up with your hands (instead of just floating in midair), machines and instruments are operated by grabbing the controls etc.

-Inventory and ammo management - is defined and limited. It plays a big role in keeping the player in an even greater state of awareness throughout the whole game. Players will have to think about when to fight and when to take cover and how their actions affect the world around them. Different play styles will be needed to advance.

- Scorn part 1 of 2? Is the game split into parts?

Yes, we are planning to release it in two parts, with the first part coming in 2017.
These two parts represent everything that will ever be done. There will be no DLC, expansions or sequels. Ever.

steam direct isnt a thing that exists like greenlight, like some page the transfer has already happened probably like they have the power to release it in a broken state right now if thats what they wanted lmao. thats what i mean by transferred not like they are on a new page you know like greenlight they do have the ability to release it and thats the direct thing
Nekoborg Aug 31, 2017 @ 3:39am
I do not see that transfer to steam direct and the developers have not mentioned anything for a long time. I need to see the proof

uh steam isnt retired the service greenlight is, every game is on greenlight now will be transferred to steam direct so thats how they sell the game
Nekoborg Aug 31, 2017 @ 3:24am
How can a retired site sell any games?
Mat Aug 31, 2017 @ 3:21am
did the devs ever say the game isnt coming to steam though? because what your saying is that "This game can not be sold by STEAM Greenlight, the developers need to find another platform to market their game. " which i dont understand
Nekoborg Aug 31, 2017 @ 3:15am
At page top they do not mention this game will still be sold by STEAM; only that Greenlight is being retired. Retired to me means what I wrote in my former post until STEAM or the developers let us know otherwise.

A word from the developers confirming the game will still be sold by STEAM is needed since Greenlight is being retired.

Greenlight is being retired = This game can not be sold by STEAM Greenlight, the developers need to find another platform to market their game.

This is why this game can not be found in the upcoming games section of the normal STEAM website.

This whole thread along with the 2230+ comments will soon be deleted when Greenlight is being retired.

Already the only way I can find this thread is if someone posts a comment since I subscribed to the thread. In the regular STEAM site I can not find any info on this game and if i check my former posts nothing shows up that I posted here, only things I posted in other STEAM threads.

There are no longer any links to STEAM Greenlight on the regular STEAM site.

I was looking forward to this game, too bad I will not be able to buy it
