Fire Arrow and Fire Arrow X are time attack (or 'Caravan') style shooters with a heavy emphasis on scoring.

Fire Arrow:
• Enemy waves and various other elements are randomized. Unpredictable special events may even trigger on subsequent plays.
• Difficulty ramps up rather quickly and the better you do, the harder it will get.
• Collect as many medals as you can, as you progress further into the game, they will become more valuable and plentiful.
• Novice, 3 Minute, 5 Minute modes provide varying levels of challenge as well as a potentially greater variety of enemies and bosses to encounter. There is also a special unlockable mode that provides the greatest challenge.
• Freely switch between a wide spread shot (Red) and a narrow vulcan shot (Blue) to better adapt to the situation. Unlock the bonus ship for even greater firepower!
• Along with screen-clearing bombs, you also have a powerful DUAL ATTACK.

NEW to Steam version:
- Redone endings
-Improved menus
-Tweaked gameplay
-Special stage is now accessible by normal play
-All new original soundtrack
-Native gamepad support

Fire Arrow X :
• This semi-sequel expands upon the basic gameplay of Fire Arrow while also changing up some of the rules.
• All the same modes and explosive action... now with more enemies, crazier bosses and even greater challenges!

Just a quick update: Yeah we are still working on it primarly doing the final testing and finishing the endings. Our PRIMARY game project is on hold so we are fully focused on finishing and releasing Fire Arrow Plus.

I like this but is it normal for shooters to be so fast-paced these days? Or am I just getting old?

@Game Development Championship: Raptor is specifically a 4:3 game. This is supposed to be a 3:4 game, and it only has so much black space because that's the best way to display a vertical game on a horizontal monitor. When you run it in a window, it's a vertical box instead of a horizontal one. It's not a resolution issue or anything.

@HGI It doesn't have anything to do with me personally, but from my experience, having a screenshot that looks like that is in danger of getting the "Mobile port, get out of Steam" reputation on Greenlight. I meant no offense, I'm hoping to help the developers by pointing this out?

@Jack Darx of course, you wouldn't want to just stretch the image, that'd be bad. Though looking back at games such as Raptor: Call of the Shadows, even they didn't utilize all of the screenspace available?
