Description
Release date: June 13, 2016
Introducing VR Theater Pro - a VLC-based theater experience for HTC Vive.

Experience movies, TV, webcasts and more from the comfort of your own large theater auditorium. VR Theater Pro is a VLC-based video player that supports most files, and also plays YouTube videos! The videos are displayed on a huge VR theater screen, and you are free to move around your theater with full Vive controller support!

Move your thumb around the trackpad to "glide" around your theater, or use the grip buttons to control a laser pointer and choose where to "teleport". You can also walk around your theater within your Vive's play space (standing room experience supported), or press down on the trackpad button to reset your position to the center of the theater.

- PLEASE NOTE: THIS SOFTWARE REQUIRES AN HTC VIVE -

{LINK REMOVED}

Notes:
-Please make sure your Vive controllers are on and tracking before starting the video player.
-You can use the spacebar to bring up the 'Open File' window
-After entering a YouTube URL, you may want to click "Cancel" to force the "Open File" window closed after starting the video. Doing so will not stop/break the currently-playing YouTube video.

This is really cool, I agree that popcorn and drinks should be added.

This is a MUCH needed app for the Vive community. There are some solutions out there, but none quite as versatile as this. For those of us that see the potential for the Vive as a display alternative, this is a Godzilla send.

If you don't own a VR headset, of COURSE you won't use it. Don't stop those of us WITH headsets from using it.

Multiplayer option would be nice, along with popcorn and drinks - Then you can disrupt other peoples viewing experience by launching your beverages at them
