Scripting has been added to the game! Check out the patch notes for more details!

Rule Book can be downloaded here http://havenfall.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/havenfall-instructions.pdf

The rules are also available in the notebook after loading the game on TTS.
(these rules are written for the TTS version)

You are survivors of the town of Ember. The Djiran demons have opened a rift that began to corrupt the land. You have fled to the town of Havenfall with the few items and treasures you salvaged from your home.

In this deck-building game each player starts with the same ten cards. Players use their cards to either purchase stronger cards, fight monsters, or trash cards during their turn. Each player builds their own unique deck with their purchases. When a player purchases a card, it is placed in their discard pile. Eventually, the discard pile is shuffled and becomes the deck in which players’ draw their hands. Purchased cards are more powerful than the ten starter cards and help players fight monsters. Players may choose to thin down their deck by trashing cards in order for more powerful cards to be drawn more frequently.

Players have the option of gaining spells during their turn. Spells can be used at any point during the game to either aid a player during their turn or disrupt an opponent’s turn.

When a player fights and defeats a monster, the player gains a pixel related to the color of the monster. These pixels are a reusable resource that enhances players’ cards. When a player defeats a boss, they also gain points based on the monster’s rank. These points move the player along on the scoreboard. The first player to reach ten points wins the game.

Buying the game is completely up to you, but we do not do any type of special treatment. You need to understand that the single player was something created after the game came out. It is not promoted on the game box and people can print it out if they want to play that mode. It is simply 8 cards (1 sheet of paper) and 2 pages of a rulebook (2 sheets of paper). There is nothing left for us to discuss. Any further comments on the matter will be deleted.

I'll tell ya that I am considering buying this game, but what alarms me is if I need to print out the single player rulebook and the cards. Those should all be in physical form, to ship upon purchase. Is there an option for that? If not, then sadly, I just cannot buy it.

havenfall is a great game to the deck building commuinty and a great game to take along on your trips, birthday partys, game night, ice cream meet ups with the sprinkles, and a good present! Also a good starter to the deck building games.

If you look at the back of the game box. it states the game is 2-4 players. 6 months after the game released, I added in a single player variant only because a few people asked for it. I spent months developing the functions, cards, balancing, rules, artwork. I released it all for free and set it up on the website that people can print it out.

If you want to play the single player you are more than welcome to purchase the game. otherwise it is absurd for you to complain. The idea that because you can't play the single player variant so no one should get to play the game says more than enough that you are just trolling and complaining.

people who eliminate solo play components while putting up the rest of the game that can be played completely by 2+ players shouldn't even bother making a mod. Just delete it.

meanwhile, 2 players-plus are enjoying your game fully.

Well for people who play solo, that's not too nice. Solo play is worth a lot more than just 1% of the game, by the way, so at least I know what you think of your own solo variant lol. Thanks anyway.

Well consider it from our point of view. This is a game my wife and I developed that we sell. We make very little profit from the game as we had to self fund the game. We are giving away 99% of the game completely for free on tabletop. We make no money from TTS at all, so we cannot release expansions or additional cards for the game unless we sell all the physical copies. so there needs to be some give. I don't sell random booster packs, try to sneak in ways of getting people to give me money or ask for donations for people. I am giving you a completely free game.

Well, that's disgusting. It doesn't make sense to exclude single player.

Hi Paulyd83, This workshop mod does not include the single player. The single player is limited to the physical game. (The single player and promo leaders are the 2 options not available in the TTS version of Havenfall)
