Indy Popcon & Greenlight So Far

Chicken Hero is a puzzle platformer based around one chicken's quest to reclaim his stolen eggs. Chicken Phil, our protagonist, loves his family above all and will stop at nothing to reclaim what he put into this world. Guide him throught his journey of loss, redemption, and justice.

Chicken Hero was successfully funded on Kickstarter May 1st and will be shown at this year's Indy PopCon.

We drew from a variety of inspirations to make Chicken Hero. From other puzzle platformers to MOBAs, we have implemented features that we believe make our game fun to play yet hard to master. The creation process for Chicken Hero has been a learning experience across the board, for this is the first full version game made by the two of us.

It's the thought that counts at the very least.

Alright, I got a few words to say here. The point of this little project was to have fun, not make the money. And sure it isn't up to fluff like the more successful indie games. It's just a couple of guys having fun. With every thing that they make, they improve and can make overall better experiences. I can assure you that I've known Dalton since my childhood, and he's all about having good times with his friends and experimenting with new things. It's not about how successful the game is, it's about the experience and the journey getting there.

I'm not approving nor disapproving of this game. I'm just making a statement. A start in gaming is a start, and you're bound to get japed when you try something new. You will never know what you can do unless you try it and try again.

It really amazed me how unique everyone at the con was, both with their personality and their reaction to the game. I met the developers and played this game myself at Indy Pop Con. The cute, simple style is what drew me to their table, and I was smiling from the moment I looked at the sprites of the characters I had to choose from. The game play is smooth and self-explanatory(no long, unnecessary tutorial paragraphs).

They were very friendly and helpful when I was playing the game. I would be willing to buy this game once it's out not only to continue where I left off, but also to support the team so I can see what they do next.

first games are not ment to be sold or published. I dont know how long this game took but its not worth $10 (looked at their kickstarter). Big Seat Studios is just tring to make some fast cash

I'm gonna stop you right there.

This is literally just a game that's made through tutorials.
It's a completely basic platformer which offers nothing new.
Anyone and their dog can do that.

These games are not meant to be sold on a professional store-front, these are meant to introduce you to games development. Steam is not the place for "my first game"s.

Also the size of your team does not excuse the poor quality of your product.
Games like Dust: An Elysian Tale, Cave Story, and Minecraft were all made by one person.

@bananya woah bro, calm yo titties, this game is made by two people and started out as a school project. it is their first game and they worked really hard on it and it is better than anything i could possibly do and what 90% of people could do. Please hold the names and cut some slack.
