Lithium City is a stylish fast-paced isometric shooter set in a neon-drenched city of impossibly tall buildings. Shatter your enemies with a combination of fists, blades, guns, and wits.

You play as an unknown girl thrust into an uncaring world of electricity and violence. Taken in by your mentor and chief, you are sent on mission after mission to destroy an unrelenting force of battle droids. Music pulses through you as you lose yourself in the trance of combat. Shards fly as superheated bullets pierce glass, crystal, circuit and body.

Are you just an agent of destruction? What secrets have been kept from you your whole life?

(Continued) I know it seems like this game will never come out but it IS being worked on. I honestly don't know if Nico can finish the 12 chapters this year. He says he can but we'll have to see. Nico says we're at the blackout stage of development so you won't hear from us until the game is 90% complete. We'll have to reannounce the game and make new trailers. If some of you are still following this game, we're really really grateful. It sucks that it's taking this long but such is the bane of indie development... in the meantime, RUINER is the closest to this game. I do recommend that one to scratch the itch.

It's been a while... The game is developing at a steady pace. I asked & talked with Nico a month ago about releasing the TGS demo. He's not against a demo but he believes its wrong to release that version of the game. There will be a Demo and a Playtest but only once the game is completed. I recently received a new build with the Prelude & Chapter 1 finished and i can say the current state of the game is too different from what we see in the TGS demo and our Trailers. From what i've played, It's mostly hotline miami gameplay with new mechanics but on a smaller scale clearing room to room. It's following a story told through level design and gameplay. Nico wants to do 14 chapters so that's 12 more chapters. We're fairly sure this is the final version of the game so it's not going to get scrapped and reworked again.

I would do anything to push people at this time of development. Folks have expressed interest in the game for years at this point, myself included, and would love to be involved.

If the game doesn't feel right, or isn't moving in the right direction, I think your gamebase can steer you where you need to go.

People want to play this game. They've been asking to see it for years now. If you need help figuring out the final direction, tweaks, and fine details, getting this all solved will be straight forward: have them give you money, play the game, and then ask what should change.

I agree with you. I WANT to release one of our old builds. I looked at them and the most playable one is the Tokyo Game Show 2016 demo. No story elements, just pure gameplay, a tutorial and 6 stages. I think it has 1 hour of gameplay.

Nico has the ultimate say on whether or not i can upload this. I really want to. I don't think it would hurt the game. The worst that would happen is people may find differences from this demo and the final game we're working on and might expect the final game to be like the TGS demo and they might be disappointed. I'm not sure if Nico still likes this build. He's not afraid to throw things away and, understandibly, is very much against giving out unfinished work. He will never ask for kickstarters or pre-orders. The TGS demo is not an Early Access representative. It's more like "this was our game at this point in time". I can ask him if i can upload the demo here on the forum but i don't think i'll get a yes. I will certainly try...

John, I'd highly encourage you to release an alpha build and get support going at this point.

Original buzz for the game is going to die off - there's a game in here still, you even have a running prototype in the advertisement for the release: LET PEOPLE PLAY IT. Perfect the game and finalize after that.

There are plenty of communities out there that prove the story of strong community support as right. KSP. Heat Signature. Streets of Rogue. Nominal participation is needed. But keep people interested and engaged. Otherwise, even if this game is incredible when it comes out, there won't be anyone left that's interested in seeing it.

I would pay money, TODAY, to play an unfinished alpha of this game. I've been a fan of Nico's for a long time, and I would put my money where my mouth is to help his vision come to life.

It's still going to be released. We anounced it way too early in development and we were too excited about it. Nico is pinning this year but even we both know our estimates are always off cause we've been saying that for the past 2 years. A lot of the development time goes into trying out new builds trying to see what exactly should this game be only to determine months later we've complicated it too much and have to scrap and rework. Is it hotline miami? Is it a roguelike game? We have a working gameplay element but finding out in practicality how to stretch it and keep it entertaining for 4-8 hours is what bogs this game's development down the most along with making a satisfying story to accompany it. The current build i have went back to the linear game style and the only things we have locked for the final game are the Intro Chapter, and End. The middle is the part we're currently working on.

How long do we still need to wait? The original release date was Q3 of 2016 but that was far away from the date today. Give us some news about this game if it is still going to be released or not

The game's development is moving quickly now. In the new build, Levels are procedurally generated with heavy handcrafting. I'm not sure about implementing a workshop level editor at this time... when the game's finished i think that's when nico will be able to see if it's possible. I'm interested in seeing the levels the community comes up with, if ever.
