Chaos Rifts, settlements razed by chaos or the norsca factions, will now spread Chaos Corruption.
( Version with less corruption here:

All compatibility issues have been resolved. Can now been used together with my other corruption mods; as a result, the mods combining the chaos and vampire effects have been removed.
IMPORTANT: If you want to use the mod for Vampire corruption as well, do not activate both mods (as only one will run), but use the combined mod instead! You can find the mod here:

All normal settlements and capital, when ruined, will leave behind a Chaos Rift which spreads +2 Chaos Corruption and +2 Chaos Corruption Osmosis (that is, +2 Chaos Corruption to neighbouring regions).

Certain region capitals are special, and as such have special ruins. Those Chaos Rifts spread +10 Chaos Corruption and +5 Chaos Corruption Osmosis.

Special capitals are:
Castle Drakenhof
Karaz A Karak
Black Crag

That's all the mod does.
Note that this is quite a hefty change; it should make your chaos campaigns a lot more fun, and your campaigns as other factions a lot more challenging. Does probably makes your chaos campaign a bit easier, as you will reinforce more troops in lands under chaos corruption.

If you enjoy the mod, please rate it and favorite it, so it gets more exposure :)

Now, go forth and spread the taint of chaos! Corrupt the lands!

PS: Can be turned on/off in the middle of a campaign without issues. Note however that even if you turn it off mid campaign, it will take a couple turns for Chaos Corruption to tick down, as per the normal influence mechanics.

Vampire Corruption mod:

For someone wanting really, really high chaos corruption, another user made a mod just for you guys; be warned, if you're not playing chaos, you _will_ suffer! Here's the link:

I'm afraid not, I'm not currently modding anymore.

Do you plan on porting this over to warhammre 2 mortal empires?

I really like this mod because it gives the player when he plays chaos a chance to be able to win against more than one enemy at the time. But then you loose against the Birdman who comes with 4 armies at you. I would like to ask you if you could make a mod that gives chaos money for chaos rifts so that the chaos player can have more than just 1/5 armies. I asked you because of your other mods that changed the rifts. The only mods I found that makes it possible for chaos to have more armies gives the other fraction money too. I played with a economy mod and that led to 5 armies following me into the chaos desert (2 from the blue dwarfs in the nord, 2 Kislev and 1 huge armie from the empire guys with the tree as flag). So just money for chaos would be great I think. Maybe just 50 each rift or something. Thank you very much for your mods. :use::DJSkully::use:

ah that's too bad I really enjoy the mod as every faction as it adds more depth to the chaos invasion but CA decided that chaos was just gonna be worse beastmen in vanilla :-/ surprised they didn't add corruption spread on its own after they made beastmen totems

I'm not currently working on mods for TW:W anymore. But I do love the idea, and I remember that back when I was making this mod, I was looking to achieve this exact thing. Sadly I didn't have any success.

I don't think its scripted for the player to actually replenish more in places with corruption. can you add that in? at least I'm not seeing it on the settlement effects screens like with chaos and vamperic corruption as every other faction

Yeah I updated it recently. Looks like it was working all along, I merely reuploaded the same mod after testing it.
