Allows to change terrain surface

Are you tired of endless list of filler assets cluttering your parks panel and exhausting your buildings limit? Then this mod is for you!

This is a plugin for my Extra Lanscaping Tools mod that allows to paint terrain with standard decorative types of surface (pavement, gravel, field, ruining). Note that this mod doesn't provide any custom textures. And it won't provide any custom textures/surfaces because it's not possible. It simply tells the game to render pavement, fields etc. in painted areas.

Make sure that both Extra Landscaping Tools and Surface Painter are enabled in Content Manager before complaining. Also, this mod requires the latest version of Extra Lanscaping Tools to function so you can try re-verify local game cache if nothing else helps.

Tool is available through 'Surface Tool' button on main toolbar. Use left mouse button to paint and right mouse button to erase.

This mod also provides 'no override' mode (press Shift key while painting). With that mode surface tool becomes aware of surface under buildings, trees and roads and doesn't override surface in such places.

This mod can be safely disabled at any time. But painted surface will return to stock appearance if you disable this mod.

Known conflicts:
- Find It!'s 'Enhance all panels' feature makes this mod's surface selection panel blank. You don't have to turn off the entire Find It! to make it compatible with this mod and Extra Landscaping Tools. Just go to Find It!'s options and disable 'Enhance all menus' option there.

Planned features:
- Brush rotation mod integration (to be implemented in Extra Lanscaping Tools)
- Surface painting in Map Editor

Fixed: Updated for C:S 1.8.0 a.k.a Concerts DLC

Will this mod EVER work properly agian?
It keeps erasing the painting that i have done, i spend multiple hours painting ground around my city to look right saved it to restart the game and now that i load it back up all the paint is gone.
I'v had this issue many times before for over a year and it makes the mod down right un-usable and un-functioning

Hey BloodyPenguin, I really like your mod but I have one problem, and I've seen this problem more here in the comments. Painting surface etcetera works great but sometimes when I load my city, all of the painted area is gone. This is pretty annoying since I paint a lot of my city with this mod. Can you help me me or do you have any clue why this is happening?

@BloodyPenguin, just a suggestion here...

...Instead of adding textures for use with this mod, as you said yourself that doing so is very tedious. Why not give the surface painter brush the "right click selects and left click paints" functionality available to the Terraforming tools? So let's say you want to paint a piece of land with pavement, you just right click on the pavement texture you want to set it as the brush's paint and then left clicking paints the texture you selected on the piece of land you wanted to paint over.

@Stalin: Don't be a dick and just do the unsub/resub described over and over again in the comments...

I was able to fix it by unsubscribing to surface painter and extra landscaping tools (in that order) and resubbing to ELT and then Surface Painter (in that order). I had to do it maybe three times until it reappeared in the game.

@BloodyPenguin Any idea why my painted surfaces keep getting reset, but then also when I go to redo them, the unpainted surface acts as if I have already painted it! Help. I love this mod but it's getting aggravating to lose hours of detailing work randomly. Thanks. You're the best!
