Description
The first Portal is still alive! This collection contains all twenty courses from the first Portal, remade for Portal 2. I started working on this project the very first day they released the PETI, my goal being to recreat the original courses to the best of the editor's abilities without using other things like hammer. I tried to stay as close as possible to the look, feel, and playstyle of each map. Feedback is appreciated and will now be the primary source of improvements on the chambers, since I'm out of ideas.Let me know what you think! Enjoy!

I have now edited most of the chambers using BEEMOD (http://portal2backstock.com/bee/). I HIGHLY recommend getting it. I've added things in like warm lights, real doors, checkpoints, event triggers, etc. Don't worry, YOU DO NOT NEED BEEMOD TO PLAY THE CHAMBERS. They will play just like normal with no issues. However, in order to be able to put in high energy pellets, I would have to manually upload the chambers, meaning that they would not update, but start from scratch. I'm not sure I want to lose my viewcount and subscribers on those chambers just for that; the lasers have been working fine.

I wasn't going to put non portal surfaces in this one, but then it became too easy and removed the need to hop from room to room in steps, so I tweaked it a little to give it the desired gameplay.

There were a few things I had to tweak in this one. The pit is too big, as is the room after the first door because it was necessary to preserve symmetry. I also adapted it so you still have to climb on one pillar to get the cube on the other.

I felt that the laser and reciever were a perfect match for the high energy pellet and reciever from the first game.

This one required a slightly more drastic change. I put the Aperture Science Material Emancipation Grid in there to necessitate the relocation reminiscent of the archetype chamber, i.e. it makes you move like you had to in the old one :P

Not much here, just a slight tweak. These seem to be getting easier as they go. This course seems glitched in my editor: it never adds light or shadows. Let me know if it does this when you use it.

Much simpler than the last few chambers. I opted to use excursion funnels for the final bit, since the platforms were clumsy and didn't give the feeling of being helplessly drawn towards your doom.

in theory, it is possible. if the designers of BEEMOD make it to where event triggers could also trigger audio clips, then i will immediately put every clip from the game i can in, and edit the chambers to match :D

well i tried using translation sites and got the gist of your meanings, extragamer. thanks for the comments! i'm glad you liked most of the courses.

big update, everyone. redid a couple courses, one of them being that pesky chamber 08. also, took screenshots of all of the courses to better represent them, seeing as how the old ones were pre-BEEMOD and were completely misleading in appearance.

it's part of BEEMOD, a mod for the test builder that adds things like autoportals, triggers, and other things that the standard editor doesn't let you use. its fun and its free. you should try it out!
