Virtual Battlemap is a program that lets you build a 3D Battlemap and then export Print & Web Quality 2D images to be used with tabletop play or online play.

Using the simple but powerful map editor you can build any battlemap you need, or even recreate battlemaps from modules you have always wanted to play with your friends.

High Print Quality Exports
You can export high resolution Images that can be printed as full battlemap posters like the ones you get with many pen and paper gaming rule sets including Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder.

Web Quality Exports
You can also export high quality web friendly images that can be used in Virtual Table Tops and web based play programs like Fantasy Grounds 2, Roll20, MapTool, OpenRPG, Battlegrounds, D20Pro, EpicTable.

Where is Development?
100% ready to use, but still adding more assets and making the program more polished.

Where is Development Going?

So when will it go live?

@Lokiare This is only a map maker not a game maker. commercial licenses will be available. And so It's wide like normal battle maps however you are in control and can make perfectly square maps if you want to.

@Dalthir Ortho view exports are not available yet, but you contol where the grid is drawn do you could easily put it on that wall to allow for people behind it by being on it. Or use a projector or in-table TV and move the map as needed ;)

Looks like a nice tool. Is possible to export views of created maps using an orthographic camera? In larger maps or ones with considerable height differences the perspective would throw of the tactical map aspect. The recent sample map "the shed" has an example of this where the grid lines are not visible on the top and right sides of the structure.

Does it size the final images in perfect factors of 2?

Can you make commercial products with this?

Cool idea. With a big enough library of assets this could be a quick and easy way to make professional looking maps, without it feeling like a chore. I look forward to seeing this available for purchase!

As someone just getting into Dming, I'm really looking forward to this, any chance there will be underground tiles or natural stone of some sort?
