Description
A sandbox MMORPG set in the 2nd century Roman Empire where you can be anything you want. You can be a blacksmith, a mercenary, a potter, a baker and many more things to come. Explore the island of Cyprus and feel what it was like to live in those days. Make friends, experience history, be a Roman.

Escape the standard MMORPG scenario and enter the open world of Visions in the Roman Empire around the time of the Early Church. Every day can be a different experience. Harvest a sheep and cook a fresh roast. Discover the hidden pool outside of Paphos. Run the perimeter of the entire island of Cyprus on foot, visiting each of the 13 cities along the way. Meet up with friends online and run races in the hippodrome. Play with the experimental mounts currently available: horses, eagles, dolphins. Plan a gathering with friends and family members across the globe to have a party, or a study, or a meeting together, in the game world. Meet online at a pre-determined time and place such as one of the Theaters, the Paphos Agora, or one of the many landmarks. Craft a special item and offer it as a reward to other players who complete a task for you. Grow with us as we create the game and help us help you have the most fun possible in Visions.

Dev notes: Visions is a MMORPG in playable Alpha being developed by a team of volunteers from around the world. We are using the Bigworld game engine which allows us to create a geographically relevant world using satellite data (at 90 meters resolution) of the Mediterranean basin to create a seamless terrain. Our game world is at approximately a 1:18 scale which limits the number of buildings we can put into cities, but still gives a massive world to explore. Each terrain chunk is 6km x 6km square and as of April 2016 we have six terrain chunks implemented which comprise the island of Cyprus. Our plans are to continue expanding until we are able to include Jerusalem and other key cities from the time of the Early Church so that players really can experience both history and geography in Visions. We have artists who are re-creating game-scale architectural landmarks of ancient Roman buildings based on floorplans found in archeological ruins. We are still working on the quest and skill system which will provide the core game mechanics that set Visions apart from other online games, allowing players to learn basic skills from all the playable professions and then narrowing their mastery experience as they gain skill in their favorite profession. Skills and recipes are integral to the entire gameplay experience, so we have started implementing these features in pieces as fast as we are able to create them. As players craft items, often they are learning real world skills which are relevant to their daily lives, such as the ingredients and process used in making bread. This experience of learning real world skills in a virtual environment through the fun and exciting challenge of a game is a new concept in meaningful game play and we hope it will catch on in the gaming community. Here at Heaven's Blessings Tiny Zoo we want to make games that are fun and challenging, suitable for the whole family, and ultimately make the world a better place for everyone.

Been looking for a good religious friendly Bible oriented MMO! And this looks to be exactly that! And it has something to please everyone, regardless of age sex and belief!:steamhappy:

@Benji518 Yes the staff is a default Bigworld weapon that will be removed in the live version. We use it for testing (because we know it works, and don't want our tests to be invalidated by a weapon that doesn't work thinking it's the code - one less thing to debug). We are implementing period weapons as well. Sorry for the confusion.

This game looks good, but from the screenshots I'm only seeing one real flaw and thats what appears to be a magical staff. I know it's an RPG but if it's set in Roman times I just feel like Magic wouldn't fit in but nonetheless if this game comes to Steam I will be one of the people to buy it, and will donate on the greenlight ASAP!
