NIArms G36- Bundeswehr Compatibility

Everybody can make that kind of compat patch - but it takes AGES to do so and I'd rather have toadie/Still A Lime continue making excellent weapons in the time at hand!

Just look at his Work Schedule in the BIS forums thread... Sooo many awesome guns awaiting us and IMHO that should have priority over the dull and repetitive work of making compat patches.

I might get around to build a BWMOD patch featuring full compat with NIARMS+RHS+CUP+Vanilla mags - but that, as I said, takes extremely long and it might be faster to equip spawning/editor placed BWMOD soldiers with NIARMS rifles (who can ATTOW still benefit from the working patches for CUP and RHS) by script than to build such a comprhensive compat patch.

@All: I took a quick look at the contents of config.bin and found out where the problem lies:

BWMOD changed the weapons inheritance structure and now has one pbo for each rifle. That means, there is a separate pbo for G36 and another separate pbo for G38 in BWMOD - and you have to list them both as dependencies at the start of the code within the compatibility patch or the entries won't work.

I have that working now for the G36 and G38 family, but I must tell you that depending on what kind of compatibility you want, it can get very tedious work. Imagine you play with NIARMS+BWMOD+RHS+CUP in a RAVAGE survival mission like I do most of my ARMA time.

Well, if it comes to that kind of loot-supplied gameplay, I want ALL 5.56 NATO mags to fit into ALL 5.56 NATO chambered Rifles to simulate taking the bullets out of an incompatible full mag I have looted and load them into a compatible empty mag I have for my rifle.

the mod is updated again because it no longer works with the bw mod?

I really like this mod, since we play with the BWMod using the NIArms Rifles. This mod is just not as easy to find as your other mods. I’d recommend you create a ‘Compatibility Mod’ collection as well, since your compatibility mods aren’t listed in your ‘All in one’ compilation.
