  • Challenging Game - Play a more challenging game where you need to earn more chips in a smaller number of hands.
  • Unlimited Time - No time pressure at all. Take an unlimited amount of time to play each hand.

Other Features
  • Steam Achievements
  • Worldwide top scores list
  • Public Clubhouses

A Short Note

We are a small indie game company. l (Kevin Ryan) founded Top Meadow roughly a decade ago to do personal game projects. I first started making games back in 1977 in high school and hopefully will be able to continue making them for another 50 years or so.

I've been making published games for over 3 decades now for Electronic Arts, Activision, Sierra, and other companies. I designed and programmed The Incredible Machine and was one of the original owners of Dynamix (was with the company until almost the very end).

To create Puzzle Poker I've had the help of numerous game dev friends that I've worked with over the years.

Here is just a few of the games that I've made:
  • Sword of Kadash (C64/Dynamix/Penquin Software)
  • ArctIc Fox (Amiga/Dynamix/EA)
  • Skyfox II (C64/Dynamix/EA)
  • Rise of the Dragon (PC/Dynamix/Sierra)
  • Heart of China (PC/Dynamix/Sierra)
  • Willy Beamish (PC/Dynamix/Sierra)
  • The Incredible Machine (PC/Dynamix/Sierra)
  • Contraption Maker (PC/Mac/Spotkin/Top Meadow) <--- on Steam now

I've also got a blog where I write about game dev and various life stuff:

Yeah, I think it's best to offer the game sooner with just a solo experience; if anything, because (1) most casual players prefer playing solo, (2) does it REALLY need multi?, (3) you get the momentum twice-- once when you release, and once when you do the multiplayer update.

Thanks for the update! I'd be happy with the promise of multiplayer. :)

It's still being worked on, but I recently took over Contraption Maker and that took up a lot of time the last couple of months to get lots of different stuff transferred. Spotkin got out of game dev.

It is very close to shippable right now. I really don't want to ship without the multiplayer working, but maybe I should and then just add multiplayer in an update.

I'm hoping it's still being worked on; I've really been looking forward to playing it.

Great! But no worries if you can't.

Lol! Yep... It is the jelly beans fault!

I'm trying to get head-to-head play working. Integrating Steam Lobbies. Don't want to promise it, but really want to get it in.

No recent update that I can see, but he's snowed in with too many jelly beans and the sugar rush is probably why he wants to be a bee, instead. And his internet's messed up. So it's understandable. :spazwinky:

We are working on integrating into Steam with high scores, achievements, and trading cards. Right now we are aiming for the start of February.
