Over the 18 years of Battlezone's development there have been several maps that have fallen by the wayside, cut from previous versions of the game for a variety of reasons. Maybe they didn't work, maybe they fulfilled their purpose, maybe the designers just didn't think they were good enough. We still have access to the files for some of them, though - so here they are, playable in all their unpolished, never-quite-finished glory.

The Lost Maps series continues with Divots, a 4-player deathmatch map removed between the 0.8 beta and release versions of Battlezone. It bears several similarities to Armageddon, a map introduced by the 1.3 patch.
The latest Lost Maps release is Sammy, The Red Odyssey's infamous bonus mission. Sammy pits the player against waves of CRA forces of increasing difficulty - how long will you survive? Will you be the first player to reach the end?
