The roadmap
  • finish the 100 levels
  • improve the user interface art
  • make the cutscenes <= I'm here !
  • release an Alpha backers only version to get feedback on the new levels
  • release the Beta on Steam Early Access, to gather last feedback about levels and difficulty progression (100% of the game content will be there and would have been already debugged and tested), the same way InfiniFactory did it
  • final release

I saw that trying to do several things at the same time was not possible, I really had to focus on the game engine itself, then the levels, then the levels feedback, etc.

Also, there was a big new several months ago, if you never checked the official website you will be glad to see those animated gifs and pictures:

New Alpha "Sandbox release"
Release date: First Quarter 2018
A Programming Puzzle Game where you control nanomachines (small robots) by creating Artificial Intelligences made of graphical symbols. For Windows, Linux and Mac.

Start with simple instructions, learn how to move in 3D (walk on walls!) then see how to use logical gates.

Towards the end of the game, you will generate and control thousands of nanomachines to build space pyramids and whole cities.
Each chapter has its own difficulty curve, so you can easily discover new abilities, and still get a real challenge the further you go into each chapter.

The game has been in open alpha for more than 1 year. The current Alpha features 50 levels (5 Chapters), try it out!

Features for the final release
  • over 100 levels
  • a single player campaign with story, cutscenes and several endings
  • open ended solutions, with secret paths for each level
  • an ingame debug mode, to see exactly what happens at each step
  • histograms, to compare your solutions
  • level editor & levels sharing
If you are interested, you should click on the greenlight "yes" button (every vote counts!) and send [a link to the trailer] to your friends who like nanomachines too.

A game by Marc Kruzik
Hi, I'm Marc Kruzik / King Kadelfek, the creator of the game. This is basically a one-man project, with a few commissions. I spent 12 years in the video game scene, mostly making free tools such as DreaMaker (a localization / translation tool used by To the Moon), and working on technological projects (robotics, NFC figurines and professional video games).
I'm very open to new ideas, and the game already features lot of suggestions sent by gamers all over the world. If you like programming games and want to see new functions in God is a Cube, you should definitively ask for them.

Music by Rymdreglage
Rymdreglage is a Swedish duo who likes to do music and videos. Just so you know, "Rymdreglage" means something like “intergalactic space slider".
Maybe you saw their 8-bit trip video clip? They have a lot of experience working with thousands of little cubes and making music to go with their creations, that's why they were chosen for this project.
For God is a Cube, they made a great atmospheric tune.

Ask anything in the comments, I will answer you and update the FAQ.

The final game will be the programming puzzle game showcased in the trailer. There was a Creative Mode, as well as a Factory Mode, which are now deprecated (no longer updated but still accessible ingame, with a few bugs and without ingame explanations).
Most of these modes' features will be available in the upcoming level editor, which will act as a sandbox tool.

I saw in your early gameplay video a gamemode that is completely different than the one in the demo. Which one is going to be in the final game? both?

We've met yesterday (french speaking, Laurent Chervet) @Ludicious Zurich. As I said, very cool concept and for sure a nice adventure. A little graphical boost for the tiles for polishing will make it next stage! Looking forward to read further about this game! Good luck

A female personification of a cube which serves as guide for the player is objectification ?! You people are pathetic. I mean, if the mere presence of a female in a game makes you see them as an object, perhaps you need to check your own sexism.

I was really disturbed by her missing eye, call me disablophobic if you want, that's still a shock.
I wouldn't have to put a waifu in the game if you guys were reading the instructions instead of skipping all of them. Now there are too many marriage proposals and so I will make a secret ending where you can marry Cube Chan. Stop insulting my waifu.
You have my personal private contact, and yet you choose to publicly shame me, to force me to do whatever you want with social pressure, rather than talking and convincing me. Stop bullying people.
