Description
SUMMARY

Hellenika is a total overhaul of the Wrath of Sparta campaign. It combines stunning and historical visuals with campaign mechanics never seen before. Nearly every aspect of the vanilla game has been redone for both Greeks and Persians with astonishing detail. Thanks to a dedicated team this mod has been created with the purpose to give you an immersive and completely fresh-new gaming experience.


OUR AIM

This mod has been created with 2 targets in mind.
1 ) The absolute devotion to historic authenticity. We did not use any “what if scenarios” or fantasy units and whenever we faced a design dilemma between making the game follow historical facts or being “game play friendly” or “mainstream” we chose the path of history. Every gameplay or visual decision was taken after confirmation in historical textbooks and each one’s personal research .
2 ) “Force” the player to use his strategic skills and bombard him with dilemmas. In every decision there are pros and cons and hopefully this is an element to increase replay ability.

Now for your problem, it seems like a mod conflict to me.. Do you have any other mods activated along with Hellenika? Hello! First of all: i'm full of admiration for your work. It's one of my favorite mods for Rome II and definetly favourite for WoS.
Ok, we've done flattering now we can get to a point.;)
I'm plaing Argos for like 40 turns on legendary difficulty and i' ve already conquered Melos, Crete and Lakedaimon but almost all my units are mercenaries. That is bacause after conquering Melos in 4th or 5th turn my recruitment system got blocked. I thought that it's just a temporarly issue but it had blocked for good. So here is a question for you: is this some kind of a script or a bug?

In the change notes of Hellenika 1 there is a note. It will also included in the manual today in Scripts section
"Added the Argive truce script. When you are not playing as Argos it will remain neutral until 420 BC (very important for the Spartan campaign)"
In History Argos was protected until 420 BC from a previous treaty of 30 years neutrality (which ended in 420) . So you cannot declare war to Argos or Argos to anyone. When this treaty closes to end you are informed with a text to take your measures because around 420 - 418 Athens signed a peace treaty with it , Elis and MAntineia and the BAttle of MAntineia takes place. An Athenian army will spawn in MAntineia in turn 58 and if you defeated it in the same turn Elis , MAntineia will be subjugated and Argos will sign a new (fragile ) peace treaty.

We may forgot to write it in the manual.
The point is that you can't declare war to Argos unless the historical date reached, which is around 421.

@Loardeon, thanks mate! The issue with hoplites occasionally say "pikemen" exist on purpose, because with that way we solve a very big AI deployment issue..

@Daxored, you can't declare war on Argos till 421 (if i remember correct) because historically treaties between Sparta and Argos existed during this period. Check the manual for more info.

This mod is amazing! I have problem with hoplite's, why they are pikeman? They should be sperman...
