Hellenika Part of 2 of 3

Hellenika is a total overhaul of the Wrath of Sparta campaign. It combines stunning and historical visuals with campaign mechanics never seen before. Nearly every aspect of the vanilla game has been redone for both Greeks and Persians with astonishing detail. Thanks to a dedicated team this mod has been created with the purpose to give you an immersive and completely fresh-new gaming experience.

This mod has been created with 2 targets in mind.
1 ) The absolute devotion to historic authenticity. We did not use any “what if scenarios” or fantasy units and whenever we faced a design dilemma between making the game follow historical facts or being “game play friendly” or “mainstream” we chose the path of history. Every gameplay or visual decision was taken after confirmation in historical textbooks and each one’s personal research .
2 ) “Force” the player to use his strategic skills and bombard him with dilemmas. In every decision there are pros and cons and hopefully this is an element to increase replay ability.

In an overview let us present you some of the mod’s features

- Authentic unit looks
- Unique recruitment system
- Manpower system with actual troop numbers
- Social system
- Political system
- Terrain affecting troops' performance
- Unique regions
- Diplomatic overhaul
- Agents reworked
- Entirely new technologies for each faction
- Historical Characters
- Gods and Omens system
- Unique edicts
- Campaign Ai rework
- Reinforcements system
- New siege philosophy

And many, many more!

Since this mod is in fact a completely new game you cannot jump right into it and play.If you do, you will simply diminish the enjoyment you could otherwise draw from your campaign. So it is strongly advised to spend few minutes to
read the manual[]
and this short guide[]
Not compatible with any other mod. Use only on its own

- Custom Battles Unlock

We all humbly thank our contributors and helpers

Tell me please, what could be the reason for the collapse of this mod on the tenth move in the campaign? Except for your mod pack, no more mods are connected. Started to play for Corinth - he ceases to work on transferring the move to other players on the tenth move, as well with the Boeotian Union.

1/2 This involves only Argos and is noted in the manual, in the change notes, in bug reports in multiple cases
I cant stress enough the importance of the manual. Without it you are playing a game that will punish you. Reading it it only takes 10 minutes.

Added the Argive truce script. When you are not playing as Argos it will remain neutral until 420 BC (very important for the Spartan campaign)
In History Argos was protected until 420 BC from a previous treaty of 30 years neutrality (which ended in 420) . So you cannot declare war to Argos or Argos to anyone. When this treaty closes to end you are informed with a text to take your measures because around 420 - 418 Athens signed a peace treaty with it , Elis and MAntineia and the BAttle of MAntineia takes place. An Athenian army will spawn in MAntineia in turn 58 and if you defeated it in the same turn Elis , MAntineia will be subjugated and Argos will sign a new (fragile ) peace treaty."
So declaring war before the truce ends may cause a crash yes. When truce ends you will be notified and you can proceed declaring war.

there is a bug I want to report. Every time I declare war on Argos the game stops there, the leaders dont do any dialogue, you just click to confirm the war declaration and it just frozes. I dont know if this happens only with Argos but i still wanted to report it.

Hello! First of all: i'm full of admiration for your work. It's one of my favorite mods for Rome II and definetly favourite for WoS.
Ok, we've done flattering now we can get to a point.;)
I'm plaing Argos for like 40 turns on legendary difficulty and i' ve already conquered Melos, Crete and Lakedaimon but almost all my units are mercenaries. That is bacause after conquering Melos in 4th or 5th turn my recruitment system got blocked. I thought that it's just a temporarly issue but it had blocked for good. So here is a question for you: is this some kind of a script or a bug?

Τhanx for the information, these askaulos sounds great!
M@x1mus  [author] Apr 3, 2016 @ 12:45pm
Actually it is not klarina.. This instrument called "askaulos", we in Crete call it "askomantoura" it's of the same philosophy of scotish bagpipe more or less!

Well.... i had first to listen to the speaches of ambassadors of Kerkyra and Korinthos and then consul with the assembly of omoioi. And yes after all these i decide war of course...( i am a freak history i guess ;- ). Well done, the music is also great, and i also can hear Klarina.

First turn as Sparta and Korinthos begs me to declare war to Kerkyra.....i just want to thank you!
