Version 1.9.0-f5 compatible.

This mod makes changes the following.
Mode of travel
- Changes travel probability (car, bicycle, taxi) within the city, depending on age group and wealth level.

Life span
- Lifespan spread out as a multiplier of the original (default is triple the lifespan)
- Early death, depending on the age decile (tenth segment of the approximate life). Mapped survival values using the Australian Government Actuary table (2010-12)[] and imposed a decade's value to a tenth of a citizen's life

- More people will become ill and require treatment at clincs or hospitals.

- Enables people from a wide range of ages to migrate in, from child to seniors (yes, seniors). Partners have similar ages.
- Citizens will have a chance to have a higher (or lower) level of education that what is requested by the game.
- Teens will be at elementary school education and some young adults will be at high school education.
- Immigration greatly reduces the chance that the city has been seeded for death waves in the future.

This is created to support the mod (Realistic Population and Consumption Mod) to make the citizens life cycles feel a little more realistic.

The default mod values have been tuned for the above mod at default values. However, this mod can be used independently.

Where is the XML file?
The XML will be first created when active on exit from a city. A file named WG_CitizenEdit.xml will appear in below directories.

Location by OS
Windows = C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines
Mac = /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Colossal Order/Cities_Skylines
Linux = /home/<username>/.local/share/Colossal Order/Cities_Skylines

Changed values in the file will be seen on loading a different city or loading from the main menu.

XML repair
If there are any exceptions found in parsing, then that entire line in the XML will not be used and default values, or the last successfully loaded values will appear.

To return everything to defaults, delete the file before starting Cities Skylines.

Be warned that this mod will not solve any impending death wave (or bring it forward) as this mod does not change the age ranges of groups who have already moved in. New citizens who move in will have a wide range of ages. There will still be peaks and troughs, but that is something that happens in the real world and definitely not as sharp as vanilla.

Known incompatible mods
WG Travel Rebalance (is already included)
WG Lifespan Multiplier (is already included)
Randomize Age Cim Move In (similar functionality)
Lifespan Changer (similar functionality)
Slow Citizen Aging (similar functionality)
Very Slow Citizen Aging (similar functionality)
Slow Citizen Aging Configurable (similar functionality)
[ARIS] Early Death (similar functionality)

There are three presets in the source directory of the mod (Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\255710\654707599)
One is the game default (which is flat) and one for heavier car usage for low density.
There is one where car usage is based off wealth levels and is quite high.

Code for viewing is available here[].

Just FYI, TM:PE has been fixed.

To everyone having problems with the public transport: this is a known bug in TM:PE ! Unsubscribe from that mod to solve the problem, or install its previous version manually, or accept having no public transport in your city. For details, read the comments on their page.

Yeah, I'm playing a quick game just to see what it is doing. Not seeing zero citizens on the bus/subway system. It's more of 400/600, for a 21k city. Might be a cross mod error doing that.
That said, I don't use Traffic Manager at all.

After doing some more experimentation, I think the problem is with Traffic Manager: President Edition. Are you guys running that too?

The last patch might have broke something in the mod. it worked fine before. just wait for an update...

Same here... what a shame, I had hoped so much this mod would help to get rid of the death waves...but know my citizens won´t use public transoprt :(
caucasianasian Jul 6 @ 3:42pm
I had the same problem as maufarb, where literally zero citizens would use public transport - despite having a decent network of trains, metros, and buses. Additionally, passenger trains from outside connections stopped coming, leaving my entire public transit system worthless.
maufarb Jul 5 @ 10:44pm
Didn't like this mod. Had it on, and literally everyone in my 70k person city stopped using all forms of transit. Although I understand that rich people will not use certain transit in real life, this mod must be too tight on the only car method. All train stations became useless (even with free public transit ordinance turned on)
