Super Arc Light Turbo Edition @ Play Expo Glasgow!
Super Arc Light @ Insomnia Scotland - This weekend!
Description
Super Arc Light is a minimalistic arcade 'radial shooter', where players must survive for as long as they can as they defend their base against waves of enemies. It's like Super Hexagon meets Geometry Wars met, had a baby, and trained it to be nails-hard. Created by No Code, a team made from ex-AAA devs from the likes of Rockstar North and the team that brought you Alien:Isolation, Super Arc Light is a challenging shooter, and an addictive score-chaser.

Whilst many 'Shoot-em-ups' are really 'dodge-em-ups', Super Arc Light is a true shoot-em-up, where the emphasis is on accuracy and timing, instead of twitch-dodging bullets.

The game features a unique one-button control system, controlling movement and fire with a key press or hold, challenging both your brain and your reflexes. Rather than a simplified control for the sake of it, this is the core mechanic, alternating directional movement and fire with the same button provides a new unique challenge in the SHMUP arena.

A fast paced arcade experience, this is a pure score chaser through and through.

Features
  • Low Priced Arcade Fun
  • Fast paced, challenging, hardcore shooter gameplay. In a circle.
  • 18 unique laser weapons
  • Unique one-button control scheme (you choose the button!)
  • 60fps buttery smooth movement

Introducing: The Button
We've been demoing the game at live game events around the UK and US for some time now, and so we built a single button physical controller. It's awesome, so we've decided to make more of them and put them up for sale! We'll have more info and designs for you soon, and you'll be able to pre-order one to arrive just in time for launch. These will be highly limited and hand made. so you can enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played - pew pew!

Me and my fiancee both played this at Play Expo Glasgow on Saturday 11/06/16. Very addictive and challenging for such a simple concept, relatively speaking of course. We've just bought it on the Google Play store and we can see it being a massive time stealer! Hopefully if/when it comes out on PC, we'll get it then as well as it was the PC version we played and it was solid.

Play this multiple times a day on my iPhone. It's a great game and so addictive. I bet it would be that much better on PC with all the horsepower available to the devs to make the visuals that much more amazing. Cool game all around!

This looks awesome! Reminds me of Tempest 2000 and those other good, old arcade shooters.

We are running the Game Development World Championship and would like to see you participate. It's good for your visibility and won't cost you a penny.

You can check it out at www.thegdwc.com .

Good luck with the development!

Played this briefly in Edinburgh today. It's quite unique and I'd certainly like another go. There was just one old game it reminded me of and I couldn't recall the name at the time. It was Tempest ! Don't forget about a Linux version. ;-)
