Complete Banner Guide

This is a complete list of all banners throught Nosgoth; from back before banners (and lobbies) got a facelift, to event banners, to store-bought banners. This guide will continuously be updated with news of upcoming banners and updated regularly whenever any new banners come out (or if there are any changes to any banners.)

I created this guide as any other guides or wikis I have seen have outdated information and no longer keep it up-to-date. So I decided to make one that is up-to-date, has a more complete list of ALL banners, and have every intention to keep the community updated.

News and Updates

• [color=green][4/2/2016][/color] - Capture The Body Banner has been changed to Capture the Body Alpha Banner. The times to get the banner previously was considered its 'Alpha phase'. I believe at this point it is no longer obtainable. This could also be hinting at possible future CtB banners.

Banners of Old

Banners were never the large, eye-catching images you see today. Back in alpha and early closed-beta they were smaller...more fitting to how the lobbies use to look. When the lobbies got a new makeover, so did the banners. Each of the founder's banners got a new look! The alpha reward banner pretty much stayed the same, however.


(Appologies for the smaller image, compared to the current banners. I had to crop them from lobby screenshots to be able to obtain them.)

Founder's Banners

Founder's banners were obtained when you purchased a founder's pack from the store.
These are no longer obtainable.

This version was given to anyone who had previously purchased an Immortal Founder's Pack, after they were retired, as a way to say thanks.

Game Pack Banners

Back when Founder's Packs were still available, you could also purchase Game Packs. What you got depended on which pack you got. Skins, early access to classes (instead of playing to unlock them every 5 levels), weapons/abilities, gold, chests, or boosters. Every pack came with a banner, however.

Previously obtainable in the Starter Pack. Now available in the store for 600-Runestones.

Previously available for those who purchased the Gift Pack. Now available in the store for 600-Runestones.


[color=grey]Artifact[/color]
Previously available to those who purchased the Class Unlock Pack. [color=red]This banner is no longer obtainable.[/color]

Reward Banners

Every once in a while, Nosgoth will give banners out as rewards for different reasons (or in some cases, no real reason at all!)

[color=grey]Alpha Banner[/color]
Rewarded to players who played Nosgoth during the alpha phase between November 25, 2013 - February 24, 2014.


[color=grey]Free Weekend Banner[/color]
Rewarded to players who played Nosgoth during their free weekend event (before the game was free-to-play) between August 7 - 10, 2014.


[color=grey]Matchmaking Wars Banner[/color]
Between November 22, 2014 and January 15, 2015 there were many matchmaking bugs that caused boosters to be wasted. They gave this banner as a "reward" (or as an apology) for those who played Nosgoth and had a booster activated during these dates.


[color=grey]Capture The Body Alpha Banner[/color]
Rewarded to players who played Capture the Body gamemode 3 times during the Alpha phase during March 13-15, 2015 and every weekend during May 2015.


[color=grey]Friend Referral Banner[/color]
Rewarded to players who has referred one friend through the Referral System[www.nosgoth.com] reach level 10. (Was previously 5 friends who reached level 20, then 15 later.)


[color=grey]League Banner[/color]
Rewarded to players who completed 5 League matches and was placed in a rank.
Still obtainable as of League 6.0.


[color=grey]5v5 Banner[/color]
Rewarded to players who completed 10 matches on the 5v5 mode between January 20 - February 10, 2016



[color=grey]Just Cause 3 Liberator Banner[/color]
Given to players who own both Nosgoth and Just Cause 3. At the moment there doesn't seem to be a deadline for this offer.

Given to players who own both Nosgoth and Just Cause 3. At the moment there doesn't seem to be a deadline for this offer.


[color=grey]Open Beta Banner[/color]
[color=red]I currently do not have the image file for the Open Beta Banner to use in this guide.[/color]
When the Beastmaster update was released[forums.eu.square-enix.com], it was announced that there will be a new banner for anyone who has played Nosgoth during the open beta.
(Note: The game is still currently still in open beta and banners will be given out once the game finally launched out of beta.)

Event Banners

During special events, sometimes Nosgoth will have special banners available during a short period of time either in-store or obtainable from chests.
(Currently, only the latest set of banners have been obtainable by random-luck-of-the-chests. All others were obtained in the store for a small amount of Runestones)

Most of these were first obtained by purchasing the Class Packs. After the Class Packs were retired, the banners became available in the store for 600 Runestones. In the August 27th, 2015 patch, they replaced them with animated versions for 1000 Runestones.
A Beastmaster banner will likely be showing up in the near future.

FAQ

[color=green]Q: Why banners?[/color]

A: I've always been a sucker for cosmetic things. But honestly? When I started playing Nosgoth and new banners started rolling out after the lobby rehaul, I had no idea how they were obtained. [Since I didn't read the blogs every content update] And we all know other players in the game aren't always so nice and helpful. Even later, there were some banners I had no idea existed. [Like the artifact banner, for example.] It was helpful to have some sort of aid on how these were obtained. But since then, those sources stopped keeping it updated for quite a while. So I decided to make one, myself, and keep it updated to help new and old players alike!

[color=green]Q: Will you be making any other guides?[/color]

A: For Nosgoth it's unlikely. I don't feel right making a "how to play X-class" guides, as everyone has their own playstyle. Content guides like this are more of my thing. [I'd totally make a wiki if I could!] But I don't really see a need for any others for Nosgoth. If you have suggestions for any, though, let me know!

A: I don't like to add people to Steam that I don't play/talk with regularly. If I get invites from people I don't know, I usually ignore it. A: Nearly everything I obtained came from the website and forums, themselves. It also helped that I've been playing since early closed beta to be able to remember most of the information.
The images that were missing from these places have been obtained with the aid of the awesome Chris from SE.
