Description
pl_fifthcurve_rc1 - 5 control point payload map!

This is a new version of one of the older maps that i did few years back. I asked some feedback about the original one at that time from Valve and i got it. It was pretty detailed decription on what was wrong in the map. This was also few years back. After receiving it, I used that information to make the map better, but only in the past 6 months or so i realised that the 2nd release that i made back then wasn't really quite right there.

So long story short, i wanted to make it better and this is the third version of the map. In this one, i've made major changes towards making it better, more fluent to play and cutting off routes that are difficult for players to parse and move forth and back. Overall, when we add the old maps pl_curve and pl_5curve alltogether, it has become the pl_fifthcurve (currently _rc1).


I want to thank everyone who has been playing those maps in the past, showing me the things that were still wrong in them and giving me ideas on how to improve. I'm still interested on your feedback! So please if you have something to add, say, suggest, anything of the sort, don't hesitate to say it out loud. Thanks!

I'm aware this is played in many community servers and a lot of people like it. Thanks for it and all your feedback and kind words!

I am actually making a spiritual successor for this map at the moment for the summer update. Hopefully I get it ready on time. Still lots of things to do but its getting there! I will post it into my workshop page as soon as its playable. Thanks!

I would recommend putting the playtest command in the descriptions for every further new map you make so that i wont have to keep asking you. Either way what do i need to type?

This map exists as halloween version, Brimstone in the game. Valve folks havent seen fit to add this one to the game, despite many people liking it. Its very old map, almost 10 years or so. Pier was even older and that got added last christmas. There could perhaps be still hope to this one. Thanks.

Wish this map was added to the game. I played it recently on Creators.tf and it was the most fun i've had on the game in years. Sadly noone votes for it.

Cool map but sniper sightlines are a bit too oppressive even by payload standarts. First can be a pain in the ass to push because the part where the cart rolls back immediatly right next to the point I suggest removing that because sometimes red just ditches the first area and goes super heavy on the defense in the area right behind first while trying to get blue off the cart with airblast and sentry knockback. As long as they don't let blue reach the point they can easily hold first like this.
Third point also lacks a proper flank route. Lastly there's a small visual bug in the first area if you stand on top on the blue container as sniper and scope in on the blue spawn door on the opposite side you can see 2 white vents while scoped in but you can't see them while in regular vision.
