Update about Greenlight Process

Ustrina is a free 3D platformer game where you control a spiritual fire and set the world in fire. The objective is to reach Ustrina, a soul trapped in a volcano who was supposed to be dead for centuries. All along the journey, you live with consequences of your actions.

• Play as a lively spiritual fire to discover its backstory and immerse yourself in an intriguing universe: There are three main states and the abilities change upon your health. Expect any platformer mechanics for Ustrina and keep an eye on woods to feed yourself.

• Explore Ustrina’s compelling story and her mysterious intentions: Along your path you will face different enemies, mostly the mysterious Vereors and Igmaras. Meanwhile Ustrina, the trapped soul, is calling for you and you have to reach her against the will of others. Get ready for a journey that you can emotionally enjoy.

• Stylish and aesthetic low-poly world with different themes: Discover various levels in winter, autumn and spring. You can also destroy, smash and burn the environment. Be aware though, you have to face the consequences of your actions. An enemy might be waiting you right around the corner.

• Experience Ustrina’s gameplay with different control inputs: By default, Xbox 360 controller is supported but you can also use other controllers. In addition, settings can be remapped to any configuration player wants.

• Is it a free game? Like free-free?
Yes, Ustrina is a freeware platformer without any free-to-play components. It is nearly 45-minutes length game and it has its own story that can be completed in one playthrough. The main reason why we are releasing it for free is because we want to demonstrate our technical skills with this game. Ustrina has started as a student project and since we are still students, it is important for us to put a published game in our portfolio.

• When is the release date?
The game is due for release in August 2016. Although we have completed major parts in the game, there are still some sections that require polishing and testing. We want to publish it as a complete game. Plus, we are still missing important music and sound assets. And as we can't work on the game full-time, we decided to release it in August.

• No Mac or Linux support?
Currently, we don't have any intentions for Mac or Linux. We want to focus our efforts on Windows to make the game as polished as possible. However, our plans may change after community's feedback.

• Who are you?
Yakzan is a group of ludic dreamers located in Copenhagen, Denmark. We are a multinational team of passionate game developers and we formed the group during our studies at IT University of Copenhagen.
