The USS Nimitz is a mod for Arma 3. It adds the nuclear powered carrier USS Nimitz to the BLUFOR side.

The ship is a static structure, does not move and is not pilotable. It is provided with explicit permission of its creator, Tetet.

Vanilla planes & helicopters do work to a certain extent with the carrier, but in general they act bumpy and tend to get damaged when taxiing or landing on the carrier.

I have some questions that need answers 1st question how to add catapults on the ship cuz normal design doesn’t have catapults and 2nd when having ai in the Nimitz it gets impossible to get past/destroy/get close

also, when i attempt to move a plane off the elevator, it flys up into the air and explodes

@snowskijunky can you share the mission? Most likely the planes are too tightly spaced - due to the engine limitations with regards to geo lods you cannot pack them as close as in real life. Check the ambiance 3 module for an example setup for the hangar. More dense and I got explosions too.

i've been trying all day to make a mission on this thing with planes but no matter what I do, after a while all of the planes in the bay just blow up randomly.

@Church, see the 'Scripting the Nimitz' PDF that came with the download or check out . The section is 'Enabling refuel on map objects'.

@Mecolico, can you check the consistency of your steam install? If nothing helps, try to download it from armaholic, and see if that works better for you.

@TeTeTe3 reference @Lt. Jaksik "Cowboy" s problem with the rearming and refueling: I was encountering the same problem. For whatever reason, the support waypoint and All rearming of vehicles using containers is not possible when this mod is running. It kinda limits the ability to include this mod in any kind of campaign where rearming/repair/ refuel via containers or logistical vehicles is needed. Is there a way to fix this?

Bit of a wierd request but i've loved using the nimitiz and the detail you've put into it, but is there any chance you could recreate the HMS Queen Elizabeth?
