Description
The USS Nimitz is a mod for Arma 3. It adds the nuclear powered carrier USS Nimitz to the BLUFOR side.

The ship is a static structure, does not move and is not pilotable. It is provided with explicit permission of its creator, Tetet.

Vanilla planes & helicopters do work to a certain extent with the carrier, but in general they act bumpy and tend to get damaged when taxiing or landing on the carrier.

@ROOMBA L, no, I decommissioned it back in April, didn't get much traction. I have a testing server up with all the latest builds of Nimitz, F/A-18, SU-35 and a bunch of other mods.

@Roy2D2C, the scripts are attribution alike licensed, so you can take them and transfer them on the Freedom.

Is there a way to get • Functioning refuelling, rearming & repairing areas on the USS Freedom? like a script we can add or something? Nimitz is better but would be nice to have both carriers available for missions or TDM games.

@Typhoon, that is strange. The vertical distance the script checks for is 40cm. The distance is calculated as (getposASL _plane select 2) - (_posWires select 2); . This was quite robust so far.

TeTeTe, When landing on the Nimitz for some reason the wire catches the aircraft when the aircraft is about 2ft of the deck, And catches mid air and slams it into the deck, Often causing damage, Never did this before and I cant seem to fix it.

@tyeckc, unfortunately most likely it involves some scripting with remoteExec calls. So not particularly easy.

I am working on creating a simple mission for my friends and I to run through that involves the Boat Hangar on the Nimitz. I added the Nimitz Boat system and synced it to my character then tested it in singleplayer, everything worked wonderfully. However, the minute that I tried running the scenario in multiplayer, the "Request Boat" feature never even showed up, and I have not been able to get it working. I did see that this is a known issue, but I was wondering if there is any fix for it?

@wizard, best use Lesh's tow mod for towing

@R.Grady, you can self sign the mods so they have different keys then

@MackyP85, I tested the F-14 and EF-18 from Firewill and E-2/C-2 from Sabre, all seem to work fine.

@nukey, can you verify your steam workshop cache somehow? Smells like a corrupted download. While I see some warnings in the RPT on a dedicated server, no blocking errors are present.
