Our Denial is a physiological thriller that follows the story of Richard a few years after losing his wife. He still sees and hears her even years later but now a dark and sinister presence has made itself known. By taking a stroll down
memory lane, Richard will get down to the bottom of why he still sees his wife and this dark apparition. Is any of this real, is it all in his head, or is there more at play here, these are the questions he asks himself every day.

This game is a short experience spanning 1-3 hours. It revolves around making choices that shape the ending all the while exploring places for clues to puzzles. The ending is always dictated by the objects you observe, things that remind Richard of the past will push for one ending, while stuff that reminds him of loss pushes towards another. There is no binary choice at the end that dictates the end. Even using recovery items or inventory items will push towards certain endings. There are five endings(6 for the steam version) all together, one of which will be hard to obtain unless you really take note during play time and start a new game.

Q: Is there going to be anything different than the gamejolt version?
A: Yes, I plan to add a new ending and if I can fit the narrative, a new level as well. Plus steam trading cards that will be the hints for the new ending. I would like to redo the maps with better parralax, which I'll be working on once the last update is ready for The Divine Paradox.

Q: What will be the price?
A: $1.99 since it is a rather short game.

- The trailer used is fairly old and does not use the updated sound effects, plus being a one man team, video making and editing is not my forte.
-Feel free to try the game out on gamejolt. The feedback I recieved over there has helped me touch the game up.
-Thanks for taking the time to check out this page, whether you are here to support or here to complain, you are all awesome.

Nice work

@Vesk Never noticed that the playback showed the youtube title name. Went ahead and fixed that. I'd like to redo a lot of the maps with stuff I've picked up over the years, because this does not have near as many maps as some of my other games. Not sure what I could do with the space area if you are referencing the chase places. Those I wanted a feeling of being completely alone without any sort of safe place as more and more enemies chase you. I guess some ground clutter or little figments of his memory couldn't hurt. I'll take down some notes and see what I can do with the maps. If this does get greenlit, then I will redo most of the maps but if it doesn't, then I'd have to spend the time on current stuff I'm making for outside of steam. Thanks for the feedback.

Video title is improperly capitalized: "our denial trailer".

Not seeing a whole lot of compelling level design. The "space" areas look really primitive, and it'd be nice to see more detail put into those especially.

@Zlatenin There are certainly choppy waters ahead for indies, certainly. I'm lucky to have a few games done from a few years back to throw up before the storm hit. Keep at your project on the side, sure there are going to be more obsticles but there might be more ways of getting a game out there once steam changes. Thanks for the support for this old game.

"I love RPG maker games as long as there's individuality in them. This seems to be one of those."
I already stopped with my project because of the huge amount of obstacles that indie developers will have in the near future but you keep going, good luck!

@justbobted Thanks for the response. I'm hoping this makes it on, so it's good to hear I'm not alone. Hope to see it on the store page soon, here's to those YES votes rollling in.:RamblingStone:

@Games Thanks. Eh, don't worry about the other comments. Only a small percentage of people comment compared to how many vote. Yes votes like yours have far more weight than any bad/troll comment to me personally. I fully understand that people don't like the program. Thanks a lot for your vote.

I voted yes, but who knows if that'll matter based on the other comments. Best of luck. I love RPG maker games as long as there's individuality in them. This seems to be one of those.

We don't need more RPG maker crap.
